I was going to post this on FB, but I don't know if I want to point at a vulnerability and go "Hey everyone! Here's how you can break the fun thing they've set up!" However I still want to go "look at me, I'm so clever!" so I'll just post it on here, where far less people will read it.
So I apparently entered in the codeword from "The Great Park Search" one day too late. However I recognized a thing in the form that gave me a clue as to how it was coded. Without saying enough for others to do the same, after some searching I found this in the code:
/* If you're looking at this then you must be a cheater and should be ashamed of yourself.
Do you really need to cheat at a fun contest that your area park has put a lot of effort into?
I mean is it really going to hurt you to go for a walk at your local park to find the codes? Seriously, go outside. */
Which is fantastic.
(If you also know how to do this, they're right, don't spoil the contest for everyone else. Besides, it's fun to find the little secret codes)
