I had this conversation with a telemarketer earlier:
Him: I'm from Cox Communications, and I'm here to tell you how you can save money on your phone service.
Me: I'm moving in 27 days. I don't think there's time for that. (It's actually 31 days, I miscalculated. Oops.)
Him: I didn't know that!
Me: I didn't expect you to. I was just thinking to save you from the rest of
Him(cutting me of): Are you moving in the area??
Me: I'm moving to Pennsylvania.
Him: Oh. Well, uh, thank you.
Me: No problem.
We hang up.
That was fun! Those Cox people are so annoying. It's the phone service offered by our cable company, they call every so often and try to sell me phone service. Well, I'm in The Neighborhood (Now doesn't that sound like something out of a weird sci-fi movie?), and so's my mom, and calls between our phones are the same price as local calls. I may have to change my service when we move, but until then, I don't have a reason to.
In other news, the fan on my video card went out. I thought it was a case issue at first, I'm the only person I know who didn't already run extra case fans, but after adding 2 and that not helping much, Cyril looked at the video card while the machine was on and sure enough the fan was dead. Visiontek is being cool about the return though, I don't have the receipt, and they said it would be okay anyways. I'm just waiting on the RMA and mailing instructions, then I'll get it sent off. Living without my machine for a couple of weeks will be a pain (I can still run it now, but I can't do anything that stresses the gpu.), but less of a pain than buying a new card when I'm not working for another couple of months and Cyril's about to be not working for an undetermined length of time.
