Gina and everyone else dealing with the fallout from this and the general need for revenge is going to be bk 2. I'm hoping this is a solid if limited foundation for it.
Dee also reappears in bk 2, interacting with Kara. And she is still going to be a sitter for Hera. I think it was interesting that she would throw an election, be resistant to Athena being released, leave Lee for defending Baltar and still end up as a babysitter for Hera, in canon. I'd like to delve a bit into where and how she draws the line between right and wrong.
Yeah the frak anywhere anytime line is a reference to Six programing being tweaked with compulsory behavior. There is going to be broad fallout from that eventually, but for now Gina is dealing with issues of identity as anyone coming from a conformist isolated society who then goes through extreme trauma. She's got to deconstruct and reconstruct herself to get back on her feet.
I see Tarkas as not only unable to let anything go, but using the dire circumstances to blame Cylons for everything. Again with the rest of the fleet I see the finger pointing as a defense mechanism and one of the gifts of being attacked. You get this instant moral superiority that can them be used as an excuse for all kinds of immoral unethical behavior. You can use the hatred and fear to manipulate people rather easily if you are seeking power or just survival at any cost (personal or a political party). And many respond to criticism by attacking someone else. Part of what I think happened on the Pegasus was Gina being used as a moral booster, she had to be dehumanized to fuel the willingness to follow Cain and keep fighting.

I did like playing with Bill and Laura in this.
