(no subject)
a little reflection before the turn of my own decade.
turning 30 in a couple of weeks.
looking back at my 20s, all i can say is that i have no regrets.
so many changes-- friends, relationships, schools, jobs, apts...
when i was younger, i never understood why people dreaded getting old.
i couldn't wait to get old bc i hated my life so much.
'if this is as bad as it gets, it can only get better from here.'
i still hate life--
life can be random, unfair, and cruel; people still kill each other over stupid shit--
but, at least, now i have some ammunition--
a little more sense, mobility, emotional strength, better company...
so far, each year has been better than the last.
'yes, it was as bad as it gets, and it has gotten better from there.'
new and exciting things are already in the horizon.
i can't wait to live out my 30s.
i'm already looking forward to my 40s.
