Winter Break's HERE!

I survived finals week! I'm back in Cali now~ The weather's nice and predictable - sunny/mostly sunny/partly cloudy every day and in the 50's-70's. I had lots of fun the past week though - I played in the snow, walked by Lake Michigan, and made my first snow angel!! I also went to downtown Chicago a few times. On my flight from Chicago to Dallas I sat in the very first row next to a pilot, so talked to him for a bit... and on my flight from Dallas to Long Beach I sat in the very last row, and the two seats next to mine were empty so I was able to lie down fully and sleep during the whole flight. I arrived in Downey around 7pm last night... and my brother told me to go to the office late last night, giving no reasoning to go. So I drove over at 11pm, and he was riding a brand new motorcycle that he had JUST bought. Well, I watched for a bit then got bored and came back home.

(Sorry, I didn't take many pictures the last week of school)

My brother's new hobby cost him $10,000 for 5 hours of fun.
This morning I woke up to my parent's voices down the hall asking my brother if he was okay. Well, it turns out my brother rode his motorcycle to Fullerton and got into an accident. His phone broke about an hour prior to all this so he didn't even know any of our family's numbers by heart - the only number he knew by heart was his friend in New York. So this friend called another friend back in Cali, and he drove my brother to another friend's house and this friend was able to take the motorcycle in his truck. Anyway, we're all just super happy my brother's alive. He'd only been able to toy around on his new $10,000 motorcycle for a few hours before pretty much totalling it. I saw the condition his motorcycle was in today when my brother's friend dropped it off, and one of the mirror's completely broke off, his foot thing is gone, the engine and stuff are scraped up, the plastic's broken and parts are missing, the wheels are scratched up... it's bad. So to document all this I took pictures of my brother.

Me with his helmet on (the helmet that surely saved his life, or at least from a lot of brain damage and a scraped face and missing ear)

His sweatshirt ripped down the middle, his bloody shirt, his torn pants (not as torn as John's jeans!)

Look at him smile for the camera despite all the pain...damn photogenic brother.
