It LIGHTNINGED last night.
Is that a word? Who cares?
It's JULY.
I was sitting in my room with Abbey and we were watching "Broadway's Lost Treasures" when we heard this crazy wind start up. It sounded like cats dying or girls screaming hysterically or something. Then there was this flash of light and thunder and she said "Oh, there's going to be a storm", and I said "But it's July!" and then we went around to make sure the windows were closed and it was seriously raining like crazy.
In JULY!
Anyway, we got to watch the whole storm and we had an awesome view of everything from the windows cause we're on the ninth floor. I saw one of those streams of lightning that is like perfect and that I've only seen before in movies touch down a few buildings ahead of us. It was so creepy. There was soooo much lightning and I was very very very freaked out. I don't like lightning in the summer when I'm in a tall building with pretty much no hope of getting outside if it catches on fire. Not that that was very likely, but you know me! I worry about everything.
Okay. Well, the weather's back to it's normal hot, muggy self today. Rain doesn't act the same on East Coast as it does back in the Land of Normalcy (i.e., Sunnyvale).
Tomorrow we're going to see Lion King, which should be pretty damn awesome.
