It's been a few days now and my voice has finally returned. For a moment there I was worried that I'd have to learn sign language or carry a big notepad and markers around to get my point across. What can I say? Neil brings out the screaming lunatic in me. I think
knuckle_hoss views me in a whole new light now... and is worse off because of it. As you can tell I had a pretty awesome time at the concert. The man still has "it" (those of you who thought he never had "it" to begin with, shush). Some highlights include:
- He wore black shoes, pants and shirt. The shirt had red flame sequins cascading down both shoulders and the back. As
kinepela would say, rawkin'!
- He played all the hits so it's easier to list what he didn't play such as Song Sung Blue and Hello. Oh well, nobody's perfect.
- The encore was Cracklin' Rosie and Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show. Absolutely in-fucking-credible.
- By our rough estimates I'd say about 85% of the crowd could quality for AARP benefits.
As for the other news I promised....
On Thursday I went back in to Boston only this time for a job interview at
Suffolk University. The position is Health Services Coordinator. I know nothing about health or health insurance but I know that I'm good at the services and coordinating aspects (I'm a coordinating FIEND). It's a great opportunity for me. The money is about the same as what I'm doing now but I get to escape the bomb making business (always a plus) and, here's the big one, employees of the university can take classes for FREE (my second favorite 4-letter word beginning with "F")! The interview went well enough that I got called back for a second one next week so keep your fingers crossed!
