Yes, I am still alive!

I realized how little I've posted over the least two weeks (ie. none), and while I'm busy today, I wanted to put up a quick note to let everyone know I'm fine, enjoying my new winter cabin, and working on my own cabin. Today, my grey cat Whisper went to the vet's for spaying. She did very well, no crying or clawing at all. She was frightened, a bit, by the loud dogs, but since I brought her in a carrier, she felt safer than being out and exposed. Now she's sleeping off the anesthesia while I pop in the library long enough to post this and check my email. I won't have time to offload the dozens of pics I have to show you until tomorrow. It's a gorgeous, though cold, day and I want to get Whisper home to the new cabin to recover there for a few days before I release her to play with the other cats. Females' spaying is more involved than neutering- longer recovery time and stitches that cannot be clawed on for a week or two. So I'll keep her with me a while, but I think she'll be happier back at my property with the other cats, so when her stitches come out, she's going back there.
