So my party on Thursday turned out to be a hit and even though I was sick the entire time I still had a blast myself. Let me tell you, I had been having the same nightmare over and over again for almost an entire month where nobody showed up. But that certainly wasn't the case, mostly everyone was there and the people who didn't show up had other commitments and I'm so not angry and anyone.
I'm definitely going to have to find a special way of thanking Mrs. Dunn. She really helped me out the most in getting the party together. She made phone calls for me, went shopping, and basically kept me from having a mental breakdown. The honest truth here is that I completely love this woman even more than I love my own Mother!!!! Jill was very helpful too and I still just can't get over the fact that we are finally friends again and I never want to fight with her again. I was so glad that both she and Joe were able to stay all the way to the end of the party.
Mrs. Haase and Sarah also showed up which wa a very nice suprise for me. I have to say that Mrs. Haase just looks fantastic! I barely even recognized her. She really looks and seems like 20 years younger. Sarah was also looking good too and she seems to be a lot less stressed out than she was back in high school. I think life has been treating her very well.
So the night started out pretty calmly with everyone getting something to eat, except for me, mingling. I thought the DJ was good at mixing the songs up and he definitely made sure to play enough Aerosmith for me. As everyone was settling in I took the time to check out my presents.
This one was from Debbie. We had to censor it a bit before we put it on the table though because there were 2 mints stuck to it that said "Merry Fucking Christmas!" and "Merry Sexmas!" SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then as I was walking around I spotted 2 latecomers who I was completely excited to see. I was so so happy that both Kelly and Kimber showed up. They are 2 friends of mine that I adore, but still need to get to know better. But I think we all had an awesome time tearing it up on the dance floor.
And let me tell you I sure did do a lot of dancing, even though felt like I was going to pass out afterward. First I did the hussle with my cousin Rachel, who my mom said looked like my twin while we were dancing. Then I got Amanda and Jill to try the hussle too. After that once the band started up I danced with quite a large group of people and then I ran to the back and into the kitchen to dance and sing with my mommy, who was busy cleaning, and then I jammed with my Dad.
Yes I was a dancing Queen!! My Daddy also took my out onto the dance floor for a slow dance but I don't have any pictures of that just yet. I also don't have pictures of the birthday cake, but I'll get them up as soon as I can. I have to get a hold of Carmen first. But I do have an awesome pic of Erin, me, Kyle, and Carmen all together in a friend sandwich. Very Cute! And I told Carmen that I was going to have to kidnap her because she literally makes the most delicious cheesecake on this planet. No lie people! I even tried a little taste of it and I just about died. She said it would be alright if I did kidnap her but I would just have to let Kyle know first. Yes!!!
I was so happy too when Erin, Carmen, and Debbie all got up to sing Happy Birthday to me in Spanish with the band. First the leadsinger was going to have some girl do it, I think she was one of their groupies, but she was nervous and didn't know it. So then my crew stepped up to the challenge and just rocked it!
The band was called "This Hope For Fire" and I think they were definitely worth it. They played for about an hour and kept everyone highly entertained. My Dad loved the performance so much that he even got up to dance and sing. The only slightly nervewracking thing that happened was when my girlfriends tried to pay the leadsinger to give me a lapdance, IN FRONT OF MY FATHER!!!! He stood in front of me and started singing but then graciously said that he wasn't going to. I think he knew better than to try it. I was super glad too that he didn't.
So that was basically my party. I have to more sets of pictures to come so I'll probably do another one of these when I get them. I really loved the entire night and it is without a doubt going to be one of my most favorite memories in my lifetime. The only thing that slightly made my evening go sour was when I walked outsied at about 11pm to discover that one of my tail lights had been smashed in by some random asshole. I had to wait an hour for the police to show up, but I was on such a happy high, I didn't really mind that much.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME AND AN EVEN BIGGER THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED TO MAKE THURSDAY NIGHT POSSIBLE!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!
