It actually stopped raining long enough to have a decent weekend...

What a nice and enjoyable weekend. Friday night I just hung around the apt with Lane and the peeps from downstairs visiting and having a few cocktails. I really like them and they live on the first floor of my building they are awesome...Michael, Kevin, and Alison. We love to laugh how we live in the ghetto and we are the minorities. It was nice winding down like that after a long rough day at the office.

Then Saturday I woke up and Lane and I finally bought a TV, spent a ridiculous amount of money shopping in Union Square, and she got a hair cut. Oh yes, while we were down in Union Square I saw a Taco Bell and got so excited (scary i know) and made Lane go in so I could get a bean and cheese burrito. Then the most amazing thing happened...I saw Robert McAlpin there! I was so overjoyed with happiness that my face lit up like a jack-o-lantern! Not an hour before that did I mention to Lane that I had yet to just run into anyone I knew in the city. CRAZY! It was a nice surprise seeing him!

Then last night Lane and I got all cutsied up to go to a party, but because the train is running all whacked out right now we had to transfer three times and then waited 40 minutes for our train to Queens and then we gave up. So we didn't make it to the party, but we ended up going to the resturant district instead and had a carrafe of Pinot at this great little Italian place. We got a bit tipsy and then headed home. Once again, a nice classy evening. We felt like real adults and that was kind of strange. Hm.

Today, I went to a flea market on 77th and Columbus. It was alot of fun! I bought alot of fresh veggies and homeade jams. Plus, there were lots of great jewelry places and such. I will for sure be going back soon! It really made for a nice afternoon, minus how windy it was outside. I had a yummy little hot chocolate to keep me warm, it was soothing. Walking around the Upper East Side made me a dreamer, longing for the days I will be able to afford to move there.

Tonight, I've done alot of cooking and watched SABRINA and it's been nice. I also think I am going to try and read ALMOST, MAINE the show we have going up Off Broadway in December.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day. We have a big meeting for RING OF FIRE first thing in the morning. It'll be a high stress day in the office, I can feel it already.

Well, that is my weekend in a nutshell. Nice and relaxing, now it is time for another week.

GO ASTROS!!!!
