Haven't posted much recently as most anything I've thought of to post has been Metablogging, and blogging about blogging just seems silly if it's the entire point of a post. Went down to That CraZy Old Lady looking for a new pentacle necklace, as my last one broke a while back, wasn't incredibly fond of it anyways, was hoping to find one somewhat like my first one, a nice little fairly simple pentacle with some basic celtic knottish stuff around the perimeter, but everything I've found has either been big and gaudy, of the sort commonly seen on the "I'm a Witch, Ra Ra Ra, Go Satan!" crowd, and ugly little things that are entirely TOO basic, nothing more than metal that looks like it came from a bad cookie cutter, with entirely too thick lines. No luck finding one, but they had the cutest little kitten, a ... a... errr well not really sure what kind, but it was one of the friendliest kittens I've ever met, nice soft fur... I want a cat, but I do well enough taking care of myself, I'd rather not be responsible for the feeding and care of another creature.

All in all it's a nice little store, assorted interesting things to look at, lots of spices and herbs, and of course the ubiquitous candles and incense. A good assortment of scents and such, and of course the requisite magickally named kandles :P. Didn't spend to much time around the incense and candles though, that much smelly stuff makes my nose twiffle (It is TOO a real word, and I'll prove it soon as I find someone to crack dictionary.com).

So far it's been a no go on the writing. It's just my luck that I have a horde of ideas that I think would make enjoyable short stories, and perhaps even some that could work to at least a novella, and as soon as I decide I'm going to actually write and attempt to get published the ideas flee me and my mind goes blank. I think, tomorow, since my brother and most of my friends are going out to some club or another and I'm to low on cash flow, I'll set myself up to do some writing. I'm pretty sure if I just set down and actually get something started the rest will start flowing, and even if it is a bit sloppy, I can go and clean it up later. Any story planning will have to come AFTER I get something started, because I know that if I've got something started I'm much more likely to actually finish it, and it's likely that if I start off with planning the overall story flow, I won't finish. Not even sure that a err what's the word Story chart is neccessarry to a short story, I suppose it will depend on what I get done in my initial rush. If nothing else it will be good practice for later. Oh, and if anyone knows of any place that accepts amateur stories, and is likely to publish them in hard copy, please let me know. Stories are most likely to be sci-fi or fantasy (modern or standard pseudo-medieval).

In regards to the Quizzy thing below, No wonder turtledawn is persuing me ruthlessly, I apparently left her crew to be my own cabin boy...

And for those of you whom enjoy webcomics, and I haven't directed you there already, may I suggest Inverloch. An ongoing fantasy based webcomic, set in what seems an original world, and has some of the most amazing art quality I've seen.
