Work update and MaruBaru
I feel like I'm overdue for one of these posts, hehe.
First off though, work is going amazingly well. Making new friends, feeling useful, getting paid (always a plus), and getting along well with my bosses and coworkers to a surprising degree. Everyone there is really nice and helpful and works well together, and if there are any indivduals who get a little anal over things there's a good chance that you can find someone nearby more than willing to laugh with you about it to relieve the tension. Beth, my adorable co-worker, and I have been talking a lot more and semi-hanging out in the office when the situation calls for it. I spent most of the morning in her office with her on Wednesday going through student records and copying down information and she was happy to help me out with the massive project while I was there. Then on Friday the two of us were left alone in the office together for the remaining two hours of the day thanks to the crazy bosses we had either taken the day off, gone home early, or said, "It's fine, you two hold down the fort!" while they went off to other locations. Not surprisingly when there was an hour left of work she showed up at my door just as bored as I was, so we escaped to her office which was away from a noisy conference going on down the hall from mine, and basically hung out there talking and laughing until about 3:45 when we realized we'd stayed over quitting time an extra 15 minutes XD I feel kind of special when it comes to Beth because I can see easily that she's only that open with me. With most people, or rather, everyone else in the office, she's very very quiet and shy and doesn't smile or do little more than say a word or two and nod. With me though I can tease her and get her to laugh and smile, and usually just dumb joke or quip I make gets her to grin before she leaves the room. I even had another co-worker comment on it when I'd teased her in the copier/fax room while the three of us were in there, which kind of hit the point home for me that I'd somehow completely managed to do what everyone else couldn't XD Good job KY~
I don't feel like I have as much to share this time around mostly because the few Honjani episodes I've gotten this week have either had absolutely nothing worth noting going on, or the boys have been separated by teams or locations for the episodes which kind of ruins any chance of seeing something on film. But! I do have a few screencaps to share, so here we go :)
These two caps come from the second part of the Autumn foods episode where we had that wonderful shot of them playing with each other's fingers while the farmer was showing them the peanut plants. I'd been really excited about getting this episode because there was so much going on in the first part, but the latter half was mostly devoid of stuff worth noting, mainly because of the camera being off them or their activities separated them.
I like this second cap because it was a full few second scene where we saw Maru put his hand on Subaru's shoulder instead of the other way around. Nothing inherantly telling about the gesture, but I thought it was nice to see the physical attention going the other way for once, hehe.
Now though, the ONE awesome thing that came from the second half of the autumn episodes :D
I am sooooo mad that the text blocked out so much of the screen and what's going on behind it, but I think watching it a few times over you can tell pretty easily what's going on XDDDDD
Then, as an added treat, at the very end of the second autumn episode was a short clip of a performance of Oh! Enka that the group had done on some variety show. I can tell that it's from after the Spirits! concert so probably anywhere between July and September of '05. I wanted to make a .gif of the part but it's actually too long so I've instead clipped it from the show and uploaded it here as a .mov file. It's really hard to see what's going on at first, but for reference Subaru and Maru are the third and fourth bodies in from the left hand side of the stage, and you can see Subaru shove Maru and the two of them dancing chest to chest in the first shot, and then watch Maru playfully shove Subaru and the two of them get VERY close at the end of the song in the second camera shot *___* Watch it a few times over, it gets easier to make out what's going on :D
Some shots from the food episode they did in February of '06. The autumn footage was from Oct of '05, for reference.
This scene was cute because of the way Maru was watching Subaru eat while he shoveled rice into his mouth.
They went to an onssen afterwards :D The camera didn't catch anything good but they were sitting pressed up together when everyone else had a good hand/arm distance between them, and there was some visible knee bumping going on under the water hehe.
From the golf episode they did in January of '06. They got put on the same team thank goodness, which meant there were some lovely shots to be taken :D
Somehow that's probably one of the most adorable clingy shots of Subaru on Maru I think I've seen so far XD
More adorable finger playing/hand holding going on when the camera isn't directly on them ♥
Thank god for distance shots, otherwise I think we'd be screwed by the editing crew from seeing this kind of stuff :3
Randomly I caught this other moment during the Idol Pose video when I was watching it over again XD
And lastly, zukkii sent me a video clip of a fancam that was taken from the current Kanjani8 tour just two months ago I think. Another performance of Sukiyanen Osaka, which managed to capture the lovely MaruBaru at the very end *_____*
