Tadaima
Back home from Houston.
The apartment hunt was unsuccessful but not without some positive leads. We did a few walk-ins and drove in circles around the UofH campus looking for apartment complexes but found a lot of really shady and crummy buildings that made me feel like I was back in west L.A. Ci and I picked up photolover from work when the search started turning fruitless and hit up the Galleria area to check out the gigantic mall they have there, which we walked the whole length of twice. They had a Borders and an Apple store, which made me happy ♥ When we took Chris to where his car had been left at a friend's house we found ourselves in an area with quite a few apartment buildings, so we did some circles around the neighborhood getting down names and phone numbers for the leasing offices. Once I finish up on here my afternoon will be spent making phone calls, joy~
I saw fencer_x for the last time yesterday. Am I sad? Yeah. Am I depressed? Probably... I did have a dream last night about the two of us walking through some large shopping area that reminded me of an outdoor version of the Galleria, and it was a bit depressing because we kept getting separated and I'd end up running around getting more and more worried only to have her pop out of a shop or pull up alongside me in her car looking nonplussed about the whole thing. No offense against you of course, Court ♥ But it's not hard to see that my subconscious was going through some bothersome abandonment issues.
I don't feel good and don't feel like dealing with anything involving money or people in general right now. I'm going to beg a day off to make phone calls and get my next SaiRui fic posted so I don't lose my claim on them over on 30_kisses.
But since I don't want to come off like a total bitch, feel free to download a copy of Paramore's Riot! album, which I've been listening to quite a bit since I caught them on MTV the other night. It's teen-punkrock sorta reminisicent of Avril Lavigne from a few years ago, but they have a good sound and the girl is an amazing singer.
