Birthday wishes and picspam

Feeling better today so this update gets to be a bit more light-hearted. No one likes a grumpy KY anyway especially me.
Last weekend a friend of Ci's named Chris (photolover) came to visit for a few days and we had an awesome time hanging out with him while he was here. It was nice to have someone else in the apartment again (we always seem to get guests at least once a month), and we spent most of the time talking or watching movies and hitting up the discount bookstore. On Saturday night we decided to go see Transformers but ended up not getting there until the 11 o'clock showing, which had a surprising number of people there for being so late. On top of that, Chris the darling bought all of us our movie tickets (they were discounted anyway for the late show), so we had a wonderful time seeing giant robots battling it out on the big screen :D I'm so happy that I got a chance to see that movie while it was still in theaters. Not only was it amazing period, but I think I would have been unhappy once I saw it on DVD and realized that I missed my chance to see all those cool explosions and effects in the best setting possible. When we finally got out at almost two in the morning there was this incredible lightening storm going on which we stood around watching for awhile outside before heading back to the apartment. Before Chris left the next day we went out for ice cream and got the chance to chat and exchange stories for an hour. By the way Chris I want your job ♥ Working in a library like that, or working at the university period sounds like a dream job ^_^
I feel like I've had my first bit of good news in months and I'm really really excited about it :D My mom told me that we've finally been reimbursed by our insurance company and most of the items that were stolen a year ago have been replaced. That means I'm getting my DVD burner and my external harddrive back ^_____^ I also got my 14 inch iBook replaced but since I don't need it I gave it away to my Dad, whose laptop I hear completely burned out about a month ago. We got the newest and latest models of everything that was taken, so he's got himself one sweet machine now XD My things should be arriving next week or so, which means I can finally get around to burning again and clearing off my computer to make room for music video production. You'd be surprised how much space you need free to get one of those made ^^
So due to my hiatus I missed a lot of special people's birthdays -_- In light of that awful mistake I'm going to do my best to make up for it <3
x_reggg - We haven't known each other long but you've been nothing but a ton of fun to read and talk to on LJ ♥ I've never known someone who updates as often as you, but I have to admit that I read nearly every single entry :D I'm looking forward to getting to know you better over the year ^_^ Happy Birthday!
pixxers - My idol, my knight in shining armor, my example of unreachable perfection, Kim I refuse to believe that someone as immortal as you can actually age :P You've been a pillar of strength in my life that I'll never stop looking towards for guidance and inspiration, and even though it's belated I hope that you got all the naked men you wanted on your birthday... though it looks like a new house might have to suffice ^_~ Happy Birthday!
reppu - Bri, I'm SO jealous of you right now, off in Japan living our dream~ though you never fail to keep things interesting with the stories you tell about life over there on the other side of the world XD It's a shame you couldn't be here to celebrate your birthday with us, but I think that being there in Japan is probably the best present anyone could ask for anyway :P Happy Birthday!
kashewmoo - We don't talk much Whit, but I have been faithfully watching your life unfold through your LJ and experiencing all of your ups and downs and moments of happiness and sadness. You've done some amazing things this year, gone to a different country and learned a new language and gotten to live the fangirl's dream. But through it all you remained one of the sweetest and most generous people I've come to know, and I couldn't have picked a better person to gain all of the amazing experiences you've had this year ♥ Happy Birthday!

sarahofcroydon - Oh Lil, has it really been two year since you and I first met and started talking? *____* It's amazing when you think about it, but somehow I'm not surprised considering what a wonderful, funny, insane, talented, awesome person you are ♥ I've loved every minute we've ever spoken and I don't think I'll ever forget the conversations that we've had and the insane, but brilliant ideas we've managed to come up with between each other. Getting the chance to talk to you, to be creative with you, to know you and call you my friend has been one of the best things in my life since discovering the PoT fandom ♥ You'll always be the first person I think of when someone brings up the Golden Pair, and the example I look towards when it comes to the meaning of hard work and dedication :D You've been so generous and giving and selfless, I only hope that I can start to repay you back at least some of that kindess you've shown me this last year ♥ Happy Birthday hun!
Lastly, even though there's a good chance she won't see it, I have to say happy birthday to my wonderful mother. Mom, if you're reading this, you sneaky journal stalker, you've always known that I've always been better with writing things down than saying them out loud. I think I'll always regret that I wasn't able to send you flowers this year for your birthday, or even a card with my true feelings and gratitude written out on the inside. Sometimes I feel that no words can properly express how much I love you, how much you mean to me and how lucky I know that I am for having a parent as understanding and supportive as you in my life. You've done nothing but stand unwaveringly behind me, through every achivement and even through my bad decisions, and even when my regrets have gotten the best of me you've never judged harshly or asked me to be anything but who I am at my best. I wish that I had some kind of reassurance that you'll always be here with me, but a birthday passing is like a reminder of another year gone and another year older... so, even though I'm being selfish by asking, please don't go leaving me anytime soon, Mom ♥ Happy Birthday!
Whew, who knew all that could be so emotionally draining to write ^^ The last thing I expected was to start crying at the end... stupid hormones >_< Well anyway, we'll end this with some more picspam; namely, the awesome gifts that crazy_squirtle sent me in the mail last week :D Thank you soooooo much again Squirt for these! I'm amassing a wonderful collection of your artwork and I'm loving it ♥

So there's only two days left until the 2 year anniversary of the tutixnagayan community *___* I did the calculations and it works out to the community having an average of 1.2 posts a day, every day for the last two years, and with 11,256 comments that comes out to 15.5 comments a day, or almost 13 comments a post :D I must say we are one happily active community XD I still haven't come up with a way to commemorate it though, and with 650 members now I think we've got enough worth celebrating about! Any suggestions are always gladly taken ^_^
