So there's this guy who lives across the hall from me. When I leave my place I face his door. He's about 60 and he gets drunk about 24/7. I bet he lives off disability or the fact that he's served in the army. His job was to out gay people, though he is accepting of gay people now. He refers to my apartment as "my little gay world". Sometimes he knocks on my door to have someone to talk to, I'll talk to him for a while but its hard since its usually really late and seans over so it usually doesn't last longer than ten minutes or so. Anyway, I could go on and on about crazy stories about him. On sunday morning he was drunk and playing with his gun. It fired and went through the apartment next to his and shot the lady who was sleeping next door. This little old asian lady. It punctured her stomach and colon, last I heard she's in critical condition and he's in jail. So weird. There are two letters from the mangement taped to his door. Either he hasn't been let out of jail or he isn't coming back. Either way its super sad and a harsh reality. The bullet could have just as easily gone through my door and I could be the one in critical condition. Enjoy every day/moment/relationship/emotion/experience that we're so luckily to have.
