at a time when many are feeling down
let us remind ourselves
that wherever you are
you got there because you want to get there

the path you chose to happiness
have now brought you tears
and you are hurt
worse than you've expected

you seek to live better
you chose to give up some
you pray to embrace each other
but you end up with no one

but let us remind ourselves again
that this path has yet to end
you're only at the beginning
to walk this path of happiness

you gave up the past
only cause it's not good enough
and look towards the future
to see a brighter smile

then you'll understand
why I wrote these silly lines
cause i'm looking for the same happiness
and i'm praying for the same bright smile
