so i went to an interview this morning at "phoenix classic fashion" for an office job - data entry, filing, answering phones, inventory reporting, and the such. the interview either went really well.. or it was just a big ploy..
anyways, the company is owned by a chinese guy, eddie yang. he makes his own clothing and shoes and what not and sells it.. or something along those lines. so i talked about myself. then he talked about the company. and then the position. and then we talked about the pay. and then next thing.. he offered me a salesperson position i guess in an apparently new department of his - sunglasses. i am suppose to go around and talk to store managers about putting a counter display or floor tower in their stores with the sunglasses. the product seems like it's pretty good compared to any other cheap sunglass you see at like a gas station. theres 40 designs - each with 3 color schemes.
i get 20 dollars for each contract.. which means i need to make 4 contracts a day to have a pay rate of 10 dolllars.. thats 2 hours per store and i really doubt i need more then 30 minutes to present all of this shit. but like i said - product is good, but i'm a bit skeptic because i dont know how well organized he has this - the actual system. the glasses cost 10 dollars each - stores pays him 5 dollars for each that sells, and after they sell. so i guess it's really no risk to stores.. and i will forever get 7% of the 5 dollar from all the stores that i get a contract with.
im not sure if this is going to work out for me.. oh well it'll just be a couple weeks wasted at the worse. i start tomorrow. hoorah..
