End of summer update - part 1
Ya, it's totally not the end of summer for me weather wise. Holy hell (literally, ok not totally literally...) it is hot as hell here in AZ!!! Monsoon season is here thankfully and 1/2 times a week I get to go to bed with it raining. However, during the day its 105-115 every day. At least I work inside. But, as the title suggests, my summer is over. As I mentioned before, I have accepted a very respectable job in my career field. No I'm not saying for whom, but I do have a BA in EE and am working on MA in EE with a concentration in Image Processing - you can take a really poor guess with those clues. Sadly, this is only a 6 month internship till the end of the year, but I'm very hopeful that I'll be hired on full time once the new year rolls around.
When I was looking back at all the screenshots I took since the last update, I am flabbergasted at the amount of growth I've seen in my new character. What I've done in 2 months took me upwards of 3 years the first time around and that was playtime of an addict. Since I started my new job at the end of June, I play roughly 2 hrs a day on average. That is extremely minimal for typical MMO standards and I've accomplished a ton. GG SE.
Anyhoot, I'm splitting up this update into two section - June and July, solely for the sake of OCDness. And it'll give me a clue of my progress before and after starting a new job. And, I don't think I ever explicitly said this before, but all my updates will go in chronological order. Pictures commense!
To start things off, I knew I would eventually need to level Ninja. With that coupled with the fact I never will level a mage job and thus will sell most magey scrolls for money...
I got all Ninjitsu scrolls in one day (I had previously prepared to do this via fame, buying items, etc...)
So I had planned on pretty much doing GoV pages till Abyssea levels of 85/90. Between leaving Maze at 32ish and starting Crawler's Nest at 42ish, there is an awkward gap that I tried to blend togethor with Garliage pages (worked pretty well actually). I came across some folks that I joined up with so we don't steal each other's prey. Gip was a sport a little ahead of me, but otherwise somewhat new. I was very open to making friends as I was actively searching for an LS and friends to keep me company. Turns out, his LS fit that bill... (more later).
OMNOMNOM good exp :) I definitely got used to this...
I ended up taking Garliage as far as I could. 1 tnl due to Limit Break quest. Mother fucker... not this shit again... *shutters at horrible thoughts of this back in early 2000s*
I was provided a pearl... good times have been had since this day. And this single handedly kept me playing this game. If I had not found an LS, I would have definitely quit when I started working.

Was able to get help with LB1 my first night. Wow... so nice. thanks kith <3
Went and did LB2 with some folks later that night or the next day, IDR.

My buddy Sath asked if I wanted to tag along to start CoP. I happily accepted this request...
Later that night we attempted to get Rank 6. Me not having Formless Strikes and Sath beign whm with no magic damage, we completely staled when SL went into magic mode. Eventually lost running out of mp/hp when he decided to go back into physical damage mode for all of 4 seconds.
Started doing Brown Belt quest. I teamed up with some Ninjas doing magian weapon quests that needed Deadly Dodo earlier in the month. 1/1 on Dodo drop. 1/2 on Nue.
Finished up June as well as teleport scrolls!
