(no subject)
I didn't realize how many John Mellencamp songs I like until now. Strange. And go figure, myspace doesn't have a working music profile for me to put a song of his on my profile.
I had to redo myspace because after the power outages or whatever, my page lost all of the personalizations. That sucked. I wasn't very happy. But whateva. I like the new layout, it's bright and obnoxious! ;] I need a new song, though. As much as I love "Real Gone" I need something different.
So, I'm trying as hard as I can to fit into all the "geek" stereotypes, apparently. I now have emulators and ROMS on my computer, which means that I stay up most nights playing Zelda or Harvest Moon and stuff. Hey Shayne- can Court and I have the XBox, since you don't use it anymore? We want to get karaoke games! And stuff. I know I'd play it. Anyway. Yeah. I'm lame.
I haven't gone to practice yet, and I know I suck. But I'm lazy. And the video games don't help. I mean, I'm not going to Everquest my way out of college or anything... mostly because I don't own Everquest. But I won't get so involved in some crazy MMORPG that I ditch classes, I swear. That was the point of the Everquest comment. Anyway, the choice is: Walk all the way to KMU with a saxophone, midday, to PRACTICE scales and the like, then walk back, slightly after midday, take an additional shower for the day, and then go to Geology, or sit inside and eat slimfast bars and play games? The vote is always going to lean with anything involving A/C, no real social interaction, and lack of exercise. So there.
But I will practice. Eventually. Even if it's when I get home. Which it probably will be. Because everyone will be at school during the day and it'll be a good way to pass the time.
Maybe.
EXCITING NEWS
Only 10 more days here! Then I'm HOME. (Only for two weeks, but still) Then the real fun will start, with summer band here and a new dorm and friends and a new rug, haha.
I can't wait. This next few weeks better fly by; I'm ready for my fall term to start.
I can't wait for football games and Seminole Sensation Week and rush, which I don't think I'm going to actually do until spring, and getting involved with the music program and such. :]
But.
I'm going back to watching the Lord of the Rings for the upteenth time, now. <3 It's been nasty and rainy here, so I stay in and play video games or watch movies. And eat cheesy poofs. ;]
