Alright, so more on Tri-State:
Basically, Smith is one of the funniest people ever. I'll admit, I didn't like him very much when he first came here, but he's grown on me. A lot. Like, Jessika, Stephen and I hung out with him for four days and I totally didn't have a problem with it. He's so young, and being back on campus I think made him open up more. Haha, it was so weird calling him "Mr. Smith" when we were there, because we'd walk up to him, and he'd be talking to a friend who was still at FSU, and they'd kind of laugh, because he's still "Dan" to them. And then I at least, felt dumb.
But FSU is totally the only place that I want to go to now. Just, the faculty and the campus.. I loved it. Prism definitely cinched it. I got to see it twice, the second time being the finale concert, where they did the war chant and all that jazz. AND we got to watch the Big 8. <3 Haha, the tenors had shirts with the Big 8 logo on the front, their nicknames on the back, "FSU" on one sleeve, and "SEX" on the other. I thought that was hilarious. It goes to show that drummers everywhere are the same.
It's funny, my brother's a drummer, and he told me that when watching a drumline, don't ever look a guy in the face. Then he thinks that you're checking him out, so you always need to watch his sticks. And we used to try and spot when they'd make a mistake. (It never happened with Big 8, but we could tell when someone was new or not, because he'd be so tense when the other guys were so loose and relaxed. The game only really worked with high school groups.) But yeah, I called him after and was like, "I MISS YOU!" Because I never ever see him anymore. He totally should have come with us.
On a different note: My older sister's getting married, and my other older brother, Brandon, might be going to FSU next year! <3 I'm excited. And a little shocked by Ashley. I've never met or heard of this Eric (I think that's his name?) guy. Hm. But yeah, I'll be hearing more about this later, I'm sure. He might be coming to my grandparent's Christmas-shindig. Hopefully my step-mom won't scare him off. She's kind of crazy.
But yeah, for my second Prism, the tickets weren't as good, we were underneath the balcony, so we didn't see the brass stuff that was happening on the balcony. But Jeb Bush was there, and he remembered Shayne. (Probably because when they last met, Shayne was wearing a condom-hat. Firefighters are CRAZY.) He's taller than I thought he would be. But, at the end the trombones were lined up next to us. Ruby Diamond has really good acoustics, because even though they were three feet away, we could still hear the woodwinds, tubas, and trumpets (who were on the balcony, again.) I LOVED THEIR VERSION OF BABA O'RILEY. <3 Actually, I love everything about them.
I also loved the FSU game that we watched. <3 I hate Tech SO MUCH. (We're a University of Virgina family.) It was fun watching it with our roommate, Robyn, too. We were like, doing the chants and calling flags and stuff, haha.
But I feel like crap, so I'm going back to bed. I can't afford to be sick tomorrow, I have All-County tryouts.
