The first line was meant to clarify which one I was in the picture. It occurred to me that you may have been confused, so I thought I’d make it a bit clearer, but I probably caused more confusion haha. My comment did carry a bit of dark humor, but it was referring to the immediate threat of being impaled by the hurdle and losing my ability to procreate. I rarely post anything cryptic because it defeats the purpose of expressing myself on this forum, and would effectively create an air of intangibility when trying to conceptualize my thoughts -- turning me into a cliché blogger with a tendency to dance around issues, like most people do in “real” life.
However, you are correct in asserting that I need to TALK outside of my usual environment and company. That’s my most immediate reason for wanting to leave San Antonio - Texas - and this entire region. I’ve grown tired of the mindsets here, and the opportunities for academic, cultural, and personal growth have been exhausted at this time. I’m not saying I’ve done all there is to do here, and met everyone I care to meet, but this is definitely NOT the place I want to shape my mind during undergraduate study.
I’m just tired of reading books at the coffee shop while my friends tell me what a bitch college is, and how they wish they didn’t have to go to school. As a person that craves the chance to test my knowledge and analytic skills in a college environment, I usually feel like throwing my book (currently “Unknown Quantity” by Paul Virilio)
at them for being cry babies, but I let it go. Absence has made my heart grow fonder, and soon I’ll be in a foreign place, with thousands of strangers -- exactly like I planned. And that’s all there is say about that. =P
