*I’ve finally got something semi-intelligent to talk about. I’m only 18 years old, and the area behind my ears is still quite damp, but I’m just sharing with you my final thoughts on the REAL elections this Fall. I agree. That's why I'm not going to talk about either candidate until after the elections. However, you just pointed out the main reason for me being reluctant to vote for President -- I don't want either of them to be MY President. Sure, I've got more than two choices, but they suck too. That's not what a democracy is about. This is an invitation for a totalitarian state governed by stupidity.

I can be the voice of dissent regardless if I "choose" the least-worst candidate. I don't see the logic in saying to myself, "Well, if I vote for who I want, and that candidate loses...at least I voted for who I wanted and gave it a good faith effort. If he wins, and the same bullshit is fed to me...I can only blame myself." That's really what this amounts to, Aston -- 4 years of moderate decline vs. 20 years of negligent stagnation.

I will not buy into the hype. I will not live in blind enchantment. Elections are not won on the popular vote. That's why no one campaigns in Texas. That's why Bush stays away from most of the New England area. I totally expected you to make the points you did, and I appreciate what you have to say. But I'm not the average undecided, little league political groupie. If you believe you are doing the right thing, then I support your informed decision. I know what I'm doing yo.
