Internet Stupid - Happy Sunday

Dec 04, 2006 10:40

My internet went dumb yesterday and forgot it was connected to the system. I am going to have to figure out what is going on in order to be able to use it.
So day 3 and 4 will need to wait until this afternoon.
Church remains a hectic mystery. I love my calling, but it is hard to fit the role sometimes. I am standing at the pulpit, trying to be serious, and all I want to do is joke. My second councilor had a tough time with her lesson today. It was her first time teaching and she was extremely nervous. She ended about ten minutes early, but that was fine because it was a fast Sunday. We have a shorter lesson and testimonies afterwards.

The Christmas devotional made me happy. I went to a stake center with Nefi, Zach, and Shannon (Nefi's Shannon not my Shannon) while Shannon and Alisa went over to Mike's. Of course, the messages were wonderful. I will need to reread President Hinkley's though. Nefi and I both fell asleep in the middle. Haha.
We went to his house after, Steve and his fiancee joined us, and we played games. I played my first match of finger swordfighting against Steve's fiancee and my arm still hurts. I won, but man. I need to work on my arms again. She was about half my size. I lost the city building game when Beth, Nefi's niece, abandoned me to go home. She was the only reason I was in the lead, as soon as she left, we went dead last. But we had Batman in a monastary. Beat that.
I got to have dinner over there, my second dinner of the day. :) That was very yummy and I got to talk to Nefi's family some more. I don't remember Aram's wife's name... Nefi help me out... but she and Maraly were making awesome decorations for Christmas. The whole room smelled like cinnamon and Christmas. Yum! :D

I had a two hour long talk with my roommate Amelia after I got back from Nefi's and that was great. We talked about boys (not you Nefi, you are not an allowed subject in the apartment), my calling, and life in general. I don't get to talk with her as much as I would like to.

I also haven't found my gloves yet. I will go buy a pair from the creamery. My hands nearly dropped off this morning and I can't have that.

Happy Fourth,
qusnos!
TQM!
