"10 ways to tell if you're a theatre geek" (stolen from estelle chauvelin)
10. You whistle and/or sing show tunes while waiting in a restaurant (AND while waiting in the restroom line ... AND while walking down the hall ... AND while taking a shower ...)
9. You do other things besides theatre; you also sing in your school's chorus!
8. You can't remember your math homework from last night but you can remember every step to the choreography of Guys and Dolls.
7. Your aunt dies every week because you forgot to schedule off work for rehearsal.
6. You are known in school as "one of those drama boys/girls."
5. "But Mrs. Jenkins, I left my homework in the theatre last night!"
4. You actually know that "Othello" is not some sort of pasta.
3. You find yourself in the opposite sex's clothing and have a good reason for it.
2. You see your drama teacher more then you see your own reflection!
1. No matter what time of day it is, your friends are at the nearest Waffle House.(or.. chili's.. or friday's.. or town center. lol)
And since she started editing it, I'll jump on the bandwagon and present the Town Hall version:
"10 ways to tell if you're a theatre geek"
10. You sit backstage at the musical teaching everybody else the Forbidden Broadway lyrics.
9. You do other things besides acting: you're a techie, too.
8. You can't remember your math homework from last night but you can remember your blocking from Taming of the Shrew
7. Jon Grilli's grandmother has died several times because of mistakes you made in your fight blocking.
6. You've been recognized by audience members while ushering.
5. "But Mr. Gleitz, it was tech weekend! Support the arts, declare nap time!"
4. You know that Moby Dick is not obscene, but bet that it probably will be by the time Mark finishes with it.
3. You find yourself in the opposite sex's clothing and have a good reason for it, AND have a cast t-shirt with the name of a character of the oposite sex on it.
2. You see Mark more than you see your own reflection!
1. No matter what time of day it is, one of your friends will be at the theatre.(Others will be at Fridays.)
