Xmas
Xmas was really good. It was brilliant having Becca here for so long, and the two of us spent a lotta time watching DVDs/vids/listening to music/having spliffs and generally chillaxin' in a sisterly way :-D
I got:
* Books (subjects incl. Rwandan genocide, African slave trade, persecution of Native Americans, fascism etc. Happy stuff)
* Buffy book (bumper comic, really)
* Buffy series 1 Vol 1 box set
* Foo Fighters album
* UK Hip Hop compilation
* HMV vouchers (spent on This is England)
* book vouchers
* Girl, Interrupted
* some clothing (pantaloons, socks, green jacket etc.)
* £50, which I spent on a shirt, two vests, a pair o' jeans, a dress and two jackets
* and some other stuff

New Year
Worked an early in the morning, but then got the train up to Brum in t'evening. Becca + I went round Ben's, and then went out to a wee pub a cupla minutes from his house. We met up with Elliot, Sam, Al + another of their mates, and stayed there til about 1ish. It was a nice atmosphere, and we had a good time, and then went back to Ben's to get the party started propery. It was a really great night - in terms of company, music, plentitude of weed etc., and I got to know Al very well :-P
Didn't get out of bed til NYD evening when Al went home, and me + Ben + Becca lazed around upstairs for a while before the two of us went home. We rounded off the evening with Spaced and Angel.

Work
Work's going well. It's not always easy, and it's not always fun, but I'm still really happy where I am. Also, Mum's volunteered me to do bank work in maternity, since they're always short staffed, which I agreed to. Am I crazy? Yes.

Roofy
Ruth is wonderful and I love her lots. She came round on Friday night to seek advice re: going vegan (YAY!), and also just coz we have a lotta mutual love and don't get to see each other nearly often enough. We watched that Jamie Oliver chicken thing, snacked far too much on cereal and Japanese crackery thingies, watched part of Girl, Interrupted and chewed over the hows and whys of veganism etc.

Sally + Emma's 18th
I was working a late on Sat night, which meant I had to get into my fancy dress etc. at work and go straight from there. The party itself was kind of... boring. But I got to see Ruth (again!), Frances, Lee + a couple of other people who I was genuinely glad to see. But yeah, it wasn't the funnest night ever, and Ruth + I amused ourselves by having a crisp fight with Tom, Tristan and Phil, building scupltures out of hula hoops and cocktail sticks, and then setting fire to Monster Munch and being utterly fascinated by how long they burned for (before realising that the glass was melting everywhere, and we'd better blow the candle out sharpish).

Favell, Mehrdad, Roya + Sofia
Sunday morning we went to visit F, M, R + S and it was really, really great to see them. It was a nice mix of conversation with the adults + messing around with the wee ones - Roya + I spent plennee of time on the trampoline/up a tree. When we got back in the car, I said to mum, "I have a confession to make. I think I've spent too much time with my nieces, and now Sofia and Roya, because erm, I'm starting to love children."
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?!?!?! She responded by saying that no matter what I say, I am actually very good with kids. I told her this does not mean by ANY means that I'll be having my own. I just don't hate them any more.
Anyway, after we left, Dad pointed out that we were about 3 miles from Roy + Gill's, so we rang 'em up and asked if we could come + say hi briefly. We got lost and so it took us about half an hour to get there, but we did in the end, and it was nice to see them too. I like catching up.

Anyway, that's pretty much my lot.
