I don't know sometimes...
A few things that happened to me, and the subsequent reaction from strangers near me, that confused the hell out of me:
1) Raining outside. I walk into a store and slip because the floor is wet. I do not fall. I regain my balance without losing too much dignity, and also without making any noises.
Confusing stranger reaction: A woman sitting there sees me slip and gasps as if she is the one about to fall.
Even more confusing: After she gasps (loudly), she does not ask me if I am ok.
2) Walking through the aisle in a CVS. I have a few things in my hands. I drop one of them. No biggie-- it was just a little box, so no damage done. I pick it up and continue walking.
Confusing stranger reaction: A man in the aisle with me says, "Oops!" when I drop the box. um.... it was ME dropping the box-- not him. weird.
side note: Marquette kicked some Hoyas ASS on Thursday! MU get together at a bar in Georgetown to watch the game was juicy fruit sweet. hehe. We even all sang the good 'ol "ring out ahoya." It was beautiful, man.
