So... yeah. I haven't given any kind of real update in a long long time so here goes...
School: Not taking classes this summer. Looked at the revamped digital media program and it looks like I only need like 3 or 4 classes to graduate. I'll probably take 2 in the fall and 2 in the spring. I have a gazillion credits as it is now and could probably sweet-talk my way into graduation now if I really wanted to, but Katie graduates in the spring and I'm not really in any hurry so why not drag it out right?
Speaking of Katie: Things with her are absolutely wonderful. She's an amazing girl and I'm thankful for her every day. She wants to go to grad school in Chicago next year and I'm going to move up there with her. I'll probably transfer to the House of Blues Chicago and work there in my current compacity until I can turn up something better career-wise. We'll see what happens there.
Work: Work is pretty much same-old... I've been working the Sunday Gospel Brunch for a few months now, and at $20 an hour it's a considerable boost to my paychecks. I like it alot not only because of the money but because it's very relaxed, and I get to work with alot of really cool people from the restaraunt that I don't usually see.
Living: Well... I've got 2 weeks or so left at the house on Waterland Court... It's been an interesting 2 years living with Keegan, Ryan, Matt, Rob, and Dave (not all at once, Rob and Dave replaced Ryan and Matt). There were definitely some really good times had here and I'm glad for all of them. There was also some seriously frustrating times that I could have done without, but the good outweighed the bad and I think I'm leaving on good terms with everyone.
All that said, on to bigger and hopefully as-good or better things. I'm moving into a 2 bed 2 bath townhouse with a loft with my good buddy Tom Atkins. Funny enough, I haven't really known Tom all that long, but he's been in with Katie's circle of friends since he came to Orlando a year ago (I think). Katie's roomie Ali lived with Tom during the whole remodelling fiasco with their new place, and because of that I got to know Tom alot better. I mentioned casually one evening that I was still looking for a new place to live and needed a roomate, and seeing as Tom wasn't completely excited with the arrangements he had made, he decided to move in with me. We spent about a week just roaming around neighborhoods in the area and found our townhouse.. well.. one just like it.. only nicer (at the time). Our Landlord-to-be, Rose, is quite an awesome lady and has bent over backwards to make this place everything Tom and I want it to be. We've spent most of the last couple of weeks helping remodel the place. Everything from pulling up carpet/lenolium (sp?) to painting the inside and out, to moving appliances, to landscaping. She's compensating us for our work by knocking off money from our 1st month's rent. I'm really excited about the place and I think it'll be alof of fun living there for the next year.
Anyway... I think that's most everything that's going on with me.
