Take Off!!!!!
So in my colour theory class, I had a project where I had to pretend that I had two
translucent colours by overlapping them and pasting a third colour overtop so it looked
like it was the combination of the two (An overlapping yellow and blue triangle would
appear green where they touched). Then I had to do an eight by ten like this with
no white showing through, the complication here was that in most places, three or more
colours would be combining at a time.
I worked on this 8x10 for about eight hours or so, getting all the colours perfect.
She gave me a C based on the composition. I KNEW that the composition was shitty, that's
not what I was concentrating on, or in fact had any care about whatsoever. I thought that
since it was a COLOUR class, the grading would be based on the COLOUR, not the composition.
I'm a little peeved.
So of course in response I'm going to dig my hole deeper by making a picture out of my next
project. We were supposed to make gradients using bits of colour torn out of magazines,
