i just have to say this, but ateneo played a very awesome game today, beating ust by 36 points. really, hats off to the team. everything just went well, it was nothing short of a perfect game. chris tiu made baskets, rabah pulled down rebounds, jc was all over the place, and macky played really smart. most importantly, it was one of the best DEFENSIVE showcases i've ever seen. there's communication, rotation, hustle, physicality, and everything else that characterizes good D. the challenge for them right now is to keep the streak going. they've proven wrong those who said the team was going down the drain when japeth left. it's gonna be tough, but i have faith in these guys.

Katharine McPhee Fractures Left Foot
The Associated Press
Thursday, August 3, 2006; 3:44 PM

NEW YORK -- Katharine McPhee, who joined the "American Idols Live" tour last week after a bout of bronchitis and laryngitis, has fractured her left foot.

The "American Idol" runner-up tripped backstage before a performance Tuesday night in Charlotte, N.C., said Roger Widynowski, a representative for McPhee's record label, RCA.

However, McPhee was able to take the stage -- wearing "slipper-sandals" -- to sing two songs. She went to a hospital after the performance, and X-rays showed a hairline fracture in her left foot, Widynowski told The Associated Press on Thursday.

Widynowski said McPhee is in "good" condition and will stay on the tour.

The 22-year-old singer missed the first few weeks of the tour because her doctor told her not to sing. She joined the tour in Washington on Friday.

McPhee, known for her sultry looks and her cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," lost the most recent round of the Fox talent competition to Taylor Hicks.

what the hell is going on??? :( why her???

this thought just popped into my mind as i was having lunch with my dad at galle this afternoon: WHO WOULD BE YOUR ULTIMATE SUPERGROUP? it could be one per genre that comes into your mind, or simply a collection based on technical skill. :D

my old-school rock supergroup:
john bonham(+) (led zeppelin) - drums
eric clapton - guitars
stevie ray vaughan(+) - guitars
jaco pastorius(+) (weather report) - bass (i say this cause he knows his rock too)
richard wright (pink floyd) - keyboards
robert plant (led zeppelin) - vocals

you just turned me to the dark side.

"Don't you see? We don't have to run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the Chancellor. I can overthrow him, and together you and I can rule the galaxy. Make things the way we want them to be."

i guess not.
