Classes and life goals

Okay, so the politics classes might be pretty awesome after all. They’re “Politics of Environmental Ethics”, which seems to be more a philosophy class than political, which is unf-tastic. We watched a video about animal intelligence and then discussed the meaning of sapience and sentience, and debated the morality and reasoning of our value systems regarding ourselves and “nature”. Very interesting stuff.

The other is “Environmental Policymaking”. This. This might be the one that kills me. It’s definitely a full-blooded Politics course. And I suck hardcore at politics classes. OH WELL. WE’LL GET THROUGH IT.

And for the hell of it, here’s a stupid list.

Current Life Goals

-move to Florida/or wherever Juu happens to be living in a year and a half

-graduate from Willamette with a degree in Environmental Science

-get a job I love in the environmental science field

-create my own lines of bar soap

-take scent/perfume classes

-get to 120 pounds (i.e., lose 15-20 pounds)

-be trained as an electrician

-take architectural/drafting classes

-learn comprehensive automobile care

-visit Britain

-visit Colombia

-visit Puerto Rico

-visit Iceland

-go wolf watching in Yellowstone National Park

-live and retire in a zero-energy home

-catch and eat my own fish, once

-supplement my diet with a home garden including a couple fruit trees and some vegetables and herbs

-landscape a garden with hummingbird-attractors, a bat box, moonflowers, and morning glories… and a koi pond (and maybe a fairy duster!)

-become a tea snob

-possibly adopt a kid at some point. Possibly. (still debating that one)

-bike more often

-live near enough to a grocery store/market to bike there and back under normal weather conditions

-be more active outside in general (hiking, playing soccer in the park, walking dogs, going to the beach, etc…)

And I can’t think of anymore at the moment. This is enough for now, no?
