Konoka is a cheery girl, almost to childishness. She'll always greet you with a smile and if you're an old friend, expect to be crushed in a rushing glomp tackle. She's horribly affectionate and a friend to all living things, even if said living things tried to kill her not minutes ago *glares at huge dragon Kaede fought*. There aren't very many things can bring down her infectious mood, but if they do you're going to notice quickly even if she puts up a front. And unless it has something to do with her bestest yuri friend and partner in the whole wide world Setsuna (and maybe Asuna), she'll probably get over it fairly quickly and go back to her cheery self.
In fact, Konoka is so cheery that sometimes she can deliver incredibly disturbing lines without missing a beat or grasping what she just said. You know those Nightmare Fuel Station Attendants? Part time job she's got there. And despite that she can fourth-wall break with the best of them... sometimes. To date, she's the only character that's directly broken it, as opposed the more referential way Negi and others have done so.
She's a fairly hard worker, as seen by her constant desire to use her healing powers whereever appropriate, and she knows the in-and-outs of her powers, making her fairly studious if not knowledgeable. That won't stop her from taking the easy way out if it's there and doesn't have an reprocussions (e.g, she skates to class instead of running).
Below that surface, however, lies a cunning girl. A masterful handling of a childhood friend crisis with Negi and Anya, her good grades and her endless teasing of Setsuna means that she isn't as airheaded as she looks. It's safe to say that her personality is not a facade and simply behaves that way because she wants to. Considering how well she knows Setsuna, Konoka has a small possessive streak as well.

This is Konoka Konoe. She is one of the more important support characters and the other lucky lady who gets to room with underaged man-pimp Negi Springfield. With her grandfather being the dean of Mahora Academy and her father being the Kanto Association leader as well has having lots of power, she's a figurative princess and heir to lots of power, money, and fame.
Funny thing: she sure doesn't act like it.
Let's start with her childhood: sheltered in the moutains, alone and nobody to play with. Cue her new body guard and childhood friend Setsuna Sakurazaki (AND THE YURI HORDE GOES WILD!). She and Konoka, being lonely people, get along smashingly. Alas, an incident where Konoka nearly drowns in a river and Setsuna fails to rescue her (both get rescued by adults) strains that just a bit. Setsuna goes off on her own, leaving Konoka alone again.
Flash forward a bit, and now Konoka attends the prestigious Mahora Academy. She's made massive strides in friends and joined the Library Club, and rather than play up her richness she's largely decided to be a cheery everygirl like the rest of them. The bad news is that Setsuna is still not talking and is more or less too serious business in the shadows. What tragedy.
That all changes when OUR THE Negi Springfield (underaged badass of the year 2003-2013) comes in. He arranges a field trip to Kyoto, Konoka's home turf. Setsuna's serious business stance ALMOST makes her look like a bad guy but Konoka reveals that childhood past and Setsuna becomes one of Negi's closest allies. Scheming rebel mages (or one really hot and cunning one) kidnap Konoka in a plot to use her extreme power to revive a huge S-Class demon. Setsuna, Negi, and some others make short work of that jerk and Setsuna and Konoka's friendship is RESTORED (AND THE YURI HORDE GOES WILD AGAIN!)! She also pactios, that is, forms a contract with Negi, and decides to learn how to use those awesome powers of hers for healing.
After lots of Fire Emblem-esque grinding with her powers and some small incidents with vacations and demons, she gets involved with more of Negi's shenanigans when the Mahora Festival hits. Of course, she fully used that as an excuse to continue spamming her healing powers.
Nothing really important happens until they take a trip to Wales and then the Magic World, where things go SERIOUSLY south for the group and Negi and pals are split all over the magic world. Konoka winds up with Kaede, and we see her angst for only the second time in the series--that is, until she's reunited with Setsuna.
However, she doesn't regret the trip, and as proof, continues to spam her healing abilities even as Negi goes through MANLY TRAINING MONTAGES in HYPERBOLIC TIME CHA--err I meant TIME CAPSULES. And as final proof of how far she's moved, she decides to make Setsuna her official partner, sealed with the longest temp pactio kiss in the series (before Negi showed her up with Chachamaru). Before waking up on the ship, she last remembers making her escape with Setsuna after Negi's negotions with Kurt break down, and she helps Setsuna own Dynamis spectacularly.
And that's her story so far.

As per usual, Konoka was using her magic to help one of the younger set. When there weren't any recent dangerous things afoot, her job usually consisted of healing minor injuries. She liked the job, but at the same time, she wondered if some of these people were reckless on purpose, such as this child she was attending.
"You know it's not good to rush down the stairs, you know," Konoka gently admonished the child.
"I know, but it's so fun running down those wide steps..." The child whined. "They're positively made for it!"
"True I guess..." Konoka said, thinking about the wide steps of the ship's second floor. "But I bet that girl you've been following won't like it."
"...!" The child's eyes widened.
"Well, with you getting injured like this, you'll give yourself away." Konoka explained. "And well, if you keep running down those stairs after her, you'll only get hurt worse. Guess I'll have to tell her you've been following her--"
"N-no! Please! Anything but that! I promise I won't run down the stairs anymore!"
"You suuuuure about that?" Konoka asked sweetly.
"Yes!"
"That's a good boy!" Konoka was done mending his injury, so the boy was free to stand. "Now take care, and be a better stalker~!" She smiled as the boy fled, amused by the sudden fright and respect the boy had for her. "He's cute, but he's no Negi-kun," She remarked to herself, giggling. After all, ever since she figured out that Setsuna guarded her from the shadows before they mended their relationship, Konoka had an innate sense of people stalking her.
If the character has magic, mutant, or otherwise metahuman abilities, please explain what they are and outline EXACTLY how they function, as their powers may not work due to the nature of the ship or may need to be limited somehow:
Konoka has highly effective heal magic--she can heal most wounds that are less than three minutes old, provided that they are not exceedingly large (yeah, severed arms won't cut it unless the arm is close enough to be attached.). She needs her pactio fans or one of her trainer wands to do this. Once a day (every 24 hours), Konoka can do a super heal that works so long as her target is alive. It's unknown if she can heal herself, but I like to say yes. She has some basic offensive magic of her canon like Saggita Magica, but she needs more training for her offense to be anything of note. She has massive magical potential, so she won't run out of magical energy very quickly.
Non-superhuman special abilities of note (Is your character a master ventriloquist? A naturally-occurring super-genius? The best martial artist in the world? Say so here):
Konoka is a master troll. She tricked Asuna at the beginning of the manga, she tricked a spazzing Anya, she regularly sends Setsuna into spazzing fits, and any KonoSetsu fanfiction worth their salt has Konoka trolling Setsuna in some form or fashion (and as I read in one fic, even beyond death). She backtalked to Jack Rakan and lived to tell about it, too. >_>
