Sai took a seat at the bar after glancing around, confirming that Naruto hadn't yet arrived at the ramen stand. He gave the girl standing behind the counter a nod, then turned to watch the door, hoping that Naruto would arrive soon. He was so tired of being stuck in the house; he was ecstatic when Naruto had suggested hanging out. Thankfully, the excuse of needing homework help seemed to placate Danzou, so he'd been let out of the house.
He set his school bag at his feet, hooking the strap over his knee so he wouldn't forget it. After a few moments, he pulled out his wallet to make sure he had some cash on him. Yes, he'd put his "allowance" in his wallet; that was good. Sai just hoped he had enough money to cover Naruto's voracious appetite for ramen.
