Kanau resisted the urge to thwap her and instead settled for looking between her and the older kunoichi idly before turning to Akemmi and saying:

"Nice to meet you Akemmi-san..." He turned back to Kotone. "...who's she again?"

...why no, Kanau did not pay attention to his teammate's ramblings, thank you!

Her face fell. As per usual, he did not listen to her constant rambling, as he called it.

Kotone mumbled half-heartedly about how Kanau could listen to her sometimes because people would feel sad if he didn't, but as like the person she was, plastered on the smile again. He not listening was expected,anyway.

"She's my brother's close friend."

"Oh... right, right..." He nodded, hair slipping into his eyes only to be brushed away in a manner that made a few fangirls hiding in nearby alleyways swoon right out of their hiding places. "Sorry... sometimes I just tune out," he said, smiling. "I don't mean to, really... usually."

"Not a worry." She brushed off his apology of sorts and the fangirl swoons with one simple flick of her wrist. "Sometimes, to maintain your sanity, you have to tune out."

Akemmi looked at Kotone and grinned her crooked grin.

She jerked out of her own reverie upon seeing Akemmi's grin.
Muttering about how the fangirls were stupid enough to forget to bring their cameras, she stopped, nocked an arrow on her bow, and fired. Enough to scare away but not to kill, despite the fact that they deserved that fate anyway.

"Now, now... No need to induce bodily harm just because you can't deal with the fact that you don't notice your own stalkers," Kanau teased, smirking. "And yes, between her and Ryou, I'm surprised I've lasted this long," he told Akemmi, rolling his eyes.

Kotone sputtered idignantly. Shooting a glare at the pesky fangirls, she turned around and ignored her team mate's words.

"I do not have any stalkers, the both of you,"she said rather crossly.
A amused grin wormed its way on her face, and she whispered rather cheekily,"Ne, those fanboys could be yours, you know. And maybe you'd e rather glad to have a fangirl taking over my place in this team!"

With thay,she skipped merrily, winking cheerfully at Akemmi.

...She was very sure she was too plain to even warrant any attention nfrom people.

Akemmi laughed at Kotone's reaction and sent a wink at the Hyuuga. "I like him." She jerked a thumb in his direction.

"Don't delude yourself, my dear." She began, "I'm sure it would be simpler to ignore any fanboys, but they're there."

Akemmi paused for a moment. "Come to think of it, I think I'd take your way. If I ever had any fanboys, I never found out." Thinking again she spoke. "Except one. But I beat him up."

Kotone simply couldn't believe Akemmi. "Ake-nee........I am not deluding myself! Not!"

She couldn't believe this. Were the two of them ganging up on her upon their first meeting? This really sucked. She was outnumbered! Where was Ryou when she needed him?

...Then again, he'd probably end up smitten and not help her, too.

"Even if they were my fanboys, none of them are good-looking enough to warrant any attention- and yes, I know, I know... I'm as deep as a puddle," Kanau snorted. "Why can't my fanboys ever be as good looking as Hime-chan's teammates?"

Akemmi worked it out in her head. Hyuuga... "Hime"... Hinata! "You mean Inuzuka and Aburame?"

Well, this was odd. She knew who this Hyuuga she'd only just met fancied, but she hadn't a clue as to who piqued Koto-chan's interest. She'd have to find out.

Well, he wouldn't say fancied per se, but found attractive was about right.

"Mm-hmm~!" He gave a slight snicker. "Hime-chan tries so hard not to let them know when I'm around." Another laugh. "I think I scare them."

Kotone turned around to look at Kanau briefly, before resuming her walking. She wondered how he would scare both of them, but decided that they probably would be if there was someone stalking them.

To each their own, she supposed.

Glancing over at Akemmi, she said carefully,"What about you,Ake-nee? Any ANBU that caught your eye?"

She snorted in a most unladylike fashion. "Please. ANBU make the worst dates." She laughed weakly. "Something about being too gory and kind of depressing."

Akemmi shrugged. "I tend to avoid my own. It's a sort of unspoken rule; ANBU either don't have time to date, or are too messed up to date, and if they're not one of those, then they're too close to even consider dating."

She pulled her hair away from her face. "Like your brother."

"Besides, ANBU have a tendency to scare the crap outta their dates when they get mad," Kanau added with a smirk and tucked his hands in his pockets, slouching slightly. "It's like, a rule of thumb that when considering dating an ANBU, you need balls of steel to even try."

"I suppose, Kanau-kun",Kotone said warily,"that you aim to achieve that status where people get terrified to even talk to you?"

She shuddered. It was a well known fact between Ryou and her that out of the three of them, Kanau would be the fastest to advance in rank, leaving the both of them far far behind.
