I Need The Seal Checked...! Request Of A Shinobi!

Joining: Tsunade w/Shizune; Open
Location: Tsunade's Office
Time: Mid-morning, afternoon
Recap: Naruto, impatient as always, decides not to wait for Shizune and heads to the Godaime Hokage's office himself to inform her directly about his worries.
Warnings: Possible language, but other than that-who knows what'll happen?

( Tsunade-baachan, I gotta talk to you about something really important! )

She might get on Tsunade's case about not doing her paperwork, but that was because she was all too aware of just *how much* of the stuff there was. Really, it was amazing there were any trees left for all of the paper that came through this office daily. If anyone understood her mentor's desire to avoid the overwhelming amount of work, it was Shizune. Besides, she was one of the ones who helped haul it all over the place.

She had her arms full of files and scrolls, the top layer rising to the tip of her nose, so she was very carefully making her way into the empty office. She was only moments ahead of the Hokage in returning from hospital rounds and an important consultation on a patient, meaning that it was quiet for once. No yelling, no cursing, and no snoring blonde at the desk.

"OI, TSUNADE-BAACHAN! WAKE UP! I GOTTA TALK TO YOU ABOUT SOMETHING SUPER-IMPORTANT!"Shizune nearly jumped out of her skin (and only managed to not spill her paperwork everywhere by utilizing her quick reflexes and chakra) at Naruto's bellow. Tsunade may ( ... )

Temari treaded lightly on the rooftops, she finally spotted a flash of blonde hair. Well, it was now or never and she was getting antsy. She smiled determined and jumped up toward the Hokage building watching him sit and shout on the perch of the window. She knew was probably interrupting something important but perhaps if she caught him off guard it would give him less time to think about saying 'no'.

"Oi, Naruto!" Temari said peering down at the crouching teen.

The Genin grinned lightly at seeing the young woman who he had officially-or unofficially-deemed his sister and was about to respond back before hearing another voice-one that somewhat caught him off guard; he didn't show it, however.

"Temari-chan?! Ano...I know why I'm here, demo why are you here?"

"Why else would she be here, brat? To do unto you as she did to the lazy Chunin brat! Or belittle you for embarrassing the Shukaku and the Suna brat!"

"I didn't ask for your opinion! And I thought I told you to shut up!"

A look of surprise, and possibly confusion, was on Naruto's face while staring up at the Suna shinobi.

"I was wondering, if you weren't busy tonight, if you would go on a date with me?" Was what she stated calmly smiling. This was part of the beauty of blitzkrieg, lighting war, to be blunt as posssible to throw him off.

Naruto was quite thrown off by the question that had been flung at him like a kunai at lightning-like speed! He hadn't just heard...there was no way...

"Temari-chan didn't just...ask ME on a date?! Did she? And right in front of Shizune-neechan!"

"Brat, as much as I despise your friendship with the Suna brat, at least I can tolerate it! You will NOT accept this blonde bitch's proposal! She infuriates me to no end...!"

At hearing what his nine-tailed tenant had exclaimed with a furious tone in his voice, Naruto felt a smirk cross his face. If one were to put it, said smirk could be the equivalent of the grins Naruto used to show back in his prank-fulfilling days!

"Hm...Shizune-neechan did say I had to get used to the fact that Sakura-chan and I can only be friends, and Gaara did say on my birthday that if I wanted to date her, she was old enough to make that choice. Not to mention that she is really hot...!"Staring Temari in the eye with the smirk still on his face, and a serious look in his ice-blue eyes, Naruto responded the one ( ... )

Temari smirked back, mission accomplished as always. She was really starting to feel an interest toward the hyperactive ninja. He had an energy, a fire, something that she couldn't ignite in Shikamaru. Naruto was, dare she think it, dear, to her and no longer in a way similar toward what she felt for her brothers. He had really matured since she first heard his over-confident voice at the Chunin exams.

"When and where?" Temari asked.

Since this was the first time any kunoichi had asked Naruto on a date, other than Sakura-but that had been concerning Sasuke and his decision to leave Konoha-, he had a feeling this should be something special. Which meant that a regular ramen run was out of the question. At least this time around.

"I know! I'll take her to that place I showed Matsuri-chan and Gaara last night! Guess I should shower and everything before showing up, and I should try and find some nice-looking clothes..."

"Brat, you are treading on dangerous grounds! I told you to refuse her proposal! Take back what you said to her NOW!"

"And I told you to SHUT UP! This is my life we're talking about here!"

"7:00 tonight at...what the hell was that place called again?!...oh, yeah! Korean Barbeque! It isn't that far from where you, Gaara and the puppet master are staying, so I'll stop there first and pick you up!

"Demo, do I need to wear anything fancy on this date?"

Korean Barbeque actually sounded really good.

"No, I wouldn't," She said after careful thought, "If we get ribs, they'll be messy but really good." The power of barbeque sauce could be more than overpowering and ribs were especially tender meat... Would she leave her fan behind? Nah, it was more like an extension of her, asking her to give it up would be like asking him to forsake ramen.

"No." She confirmed, "Nothing fancy. I'll see you then!" She smiled one last time and gently let herself fall from the roof to the window ledge where he crouched. She knew what the other men of Suna thought of her; a bitch, more man than girl, the demon's sister. She was tough but she liked being affectionate too.

"Arigato, Uzumaki Naruto." She whispered using his full name. She gently kissed his cheek and bounded off heading back toward the hotel.

Truthfully Naruto hadn't planned on getting ribs, but if that was what Temari wanted, who was he to argue? Once hearing that they wouldn't have to wear anything fancy, he mentally let out a sigh of relief. He also didn't have anything fancy to wear at all, save for what he was currently wearing!

"Ano...!" Before Naruto could respond to Temari's whispered response, surprised that she'd used his full name, he felt her lips pressed against his cheek. Almost instantly both of his cheeks flushed crimson while he watched the Suna shinobi head back toward her temporary place of residence.

"Naruto, you've just stepped foot into the gates of hell by accepting her proposal! Don't say I didn't warn you...!"

Shaking his head a few times, Naruto eyed Shizune with a sheepish smile and his cheeks still a crimson flush while clearing his throat, his tenant's rumbling voice actually bringing him out of that dream-like state Temari had put him in.
