She splashed the water upon her face and the cold liquid trickled down her cheeks. 'Now what?' she asked herself as she stared back at her expressionless face in the glass. Yashamaru's testimony was already enough to make her mad, but this... But the fact that those two kids left out such an important information about their relationship...

It wasn't to say Tsunade was disturbed by this piece of information, because she was. They were siblings. The question was who wouldn't feel the same as her at the moment. She realized there were so many hints before, but they were all dismissed as mere brotherly affections.

However, what was most important was how this piece of information was going to hurt them--the children. Her goal was to take them away out of Yashamaru's grasp and that's what she was going to do. She promised them. She promised Gaara and Kankurou. And she planned on keeping her promise.

She glanced at herself in the mirror momentarily before drying her face with a paper towel and leaving the rest room, the emotions on her face controlled.

Gaara nodded, but he was still scared. Terrified even. He dreaded going back to the courtroom. To see them with their accusing eyes.

That and he felt closer and closer to clawing at his sanity. The red-headed boy gripped Kankuro tighter.

Kankuro shifted his eyes from side to side, almost as if he was checking for something. No one was nearby. He leaned in, pecked Gaara's lips gently and looked at him closely. "I promise. Remember? Just stay calm. Slipping now would be really...really bad."
