To motivate students who are taking their exams, Nakamaru pointed out that we have to work hard today so that we can reap the results tomorrow.
Nakamaru ate with Japan national soccer player Hasebe Makoto and they exchanged email addresses. Ueda remarked that this is the first time he sees a guy getting excited over getting another guy's email address. Ueda also referred Hasebe as “yatsu” [1] and was scolded by Nakamaru that even though Ueda did not know Hasebe in person, he should not have used this term.
When Ueda and Nakamaru wear socks to sleep in winter, they both have the experience of kicking their sock(s) off in their sleep before.
Ueda's friend(s) came to clean his house, to which Nakamaru asked why they went. Nakamaru reasoned that since Ueda’s house does not have many things, it should not have been dirty. Ueda then clarified his friend(s) came to tidy instead of clean his house.
When soba strand(s) is mixed into his bowl of udon, Nakamaru thinks that is a lucky sign. Ueda however will be angry because the taste of udon will be affected.
Till now, Ueda and Nakamaru are disappointed that they failed to attend their Coming of Age Ceremony [2] because of Dreamboys. At the moment when Nakamaru turned 20 years old, he remembers that he was alone watching TV in his room. He felt sad over his loneliness but recovered saying that when he went into the living room, he felt the warmth from his family members.
Regarding history characters, Ueda likes Francis Xavier [3] and Nakamaru likes Togo Heihachiro [4]. During the time when Ueda wrote his solo, Marie Antoinette, he went to read up on the character.
