♫ hiroyuki sawano / 澤野弘之

Besides Date Masamune (lol), I've recently been captivated by the bgms of Hiroyuki Sawano, the man behind Sengoku BASARA's Original Soundtracks. To see more of which dramas/animes he has composed for, you can go to his main Last.fm page.

You know, I am not very good at describing lots of things, and music is one of them. But, what I know about Hiroyuki's style is that he's very good at combining the modern and traditional instruments together, creating a unique blend of the two in songs. I am not sure whether he likes it, but most of his tracks are quite rock-ish.
Examples are: Heaven's Door & Shut Up ~ Go to Hell. I know...the second name isn't very...appropriate, but honestly speaking, both songs are among my favourites. I would pay to rename the latter's title, seriously.
Going back to the topic, since I do not know how to describe music, I'll just let the tracks speak for themselves, yes? Here are my other favourites by him:
BLAZE ~Crimson Lotus~ ; 天覇絶槍 ; ZipangU ; Luster ; 水光に映る従夢 ; LiVE/EViL ; luciFUGE
(The first track is like the remix version of the second and luciFUGE is like another version of LiVE/EViL)

I've only tried Sengoku BASARA's OSTs (Blue & Red) and Maou's OST (didn't watch the JDrama btw) thus far, so I don't have a big collection of Hiroyuki's tracks, YET. I hope you enjoyed the songs, though. :)

This is his official website's biography. Sadly, I cannot read a thing, except for the ones stated with alphabets. (He actually looks quite good-looking... XP)
P.S. I think I better hit the History and Add. Maths books soon. I have their exams tomorrow...
