The Best Icon/avatar I've ever made
Yeah! I love it, man!!! ^o^. I am so happy that I want to post this before my unwritten journal entries of yesterday, keh keh keh keh. ^=^ (smirks). This is the one which I am MOST satisfied with. I love it sooo much! Range Murata is just such a great drawer. ^_~. I took it from one of his scans, and yeah, it's quite melancholic, and it's what I like! Haha, I know, I like sad things....>.> . Other icons/avas are made by me in my userpics area. Love making icons! ^o^. Since I learned about the GREATNESS of opacity layers, wow! It's just so fun experimenting the changes you can do with 'screen', 'overlay' and all sorts~ For those of you who want to know what's that, and if you have the image editor, GIMP, then I'll be glad to teach you. I was just stuck with 'how to use textures' before this....X_X.
Okies, here, this is the scan and the ava description~ (I just made the ava seconds ago, haha! ^o^)
This is the scan I took it from. Cut a nice squarish shape and adjust the angle, and then I got the base.
After that, I went and look through my folder of textures. Used 2 different textures, and I duplicated one and changed the opacity. Since it's a little too bright and green, I made a dark blue layer and changed it to 'overlay'.
While making the ava, I was thinking of suitable sentences to place in it. Something about surviving just kept on popping in my mind. Maybe it's because the future setting of the scan, I guess. ^-^;. So, what I came up was, "I'll Live Through This". Sounds sad, but also something thriving for survival. ^_~. Then, I made spaces between "I'll Live" and "Through This", added a brush in between. Later, I stumbled upon a brush which is circle, and I have no idea what it is, hahaha. I thought it was suitable, so I added it in.
This is my end result~ No stealing, people, it's my best so far.
Isn't that nice? I am thanking God for it, hehe. ^_~. Oh, to note, the fonts I used are, "28 Days Later" and "You Are Loved". I know, the first font's name reminds you of that horror movie, right? It did that to me too, heh. :p
So, yeah, nice? I'll make some for you all in my personal graphics community when I have the time. It isn't updated at all.....>.>. Oh, and here's the link. Up to you whether you would want to check it up or not. It only has one introduction post, haha! ^o^. (EDITED 14th June: Sorry, I deleted the community and made a new one. ^-^;.)
