Before you go thinking that I've got a new crush, *dudu*, the title isn't about me! Lol. It's about a novel by Phillipa Ashley, which I bought forgot-when-around-the-beginning-of-the-year. I woke up this late-morning at about 11 and ate a light breakfast. Soon-after my pleasant light breakfast of 2 biscuits and a cup of milk, I ate my light lunch made by my mom; tom yam fried rice? It was yummy and spicy. My eyes were still sleepy from sleeping at about 12am, so I let my mom use my com. I then took a walk around the living room (since I just ate my lunch) and thought of what to do while I drank that Tropical Fruit Punch which my dad bought yesterday.
There was Koukou Debut volume 9 which I bought yesterday together with the novel, The Art of French Kissing from the Little Black Dress publishing company (and a copy of Seventeen's July issue) which I didn't have much mood to read, since it was a warm day (and it is still). Thinking about The Art of French Kissing, I got into the mood to read my novel which I have yet to finish since who-knows-when. Yep, I read it for a few hours, took a long nap which I didn't intend to, and continued on with my reading Till.I.Reached.The.End!
When Jack proposes to Beth at the end of a holiday romance, she doesn’t think twice she just knows he’s The One. It’s back to reality at home with a big thud though when Jack walks out soon after their return - no explanation, no nothing.
Eight years on and a twist of fate finds Beth a fantastic new job - working for Jack. She could definitely do without having to face the man who broke her heart every day but then she can’t do without this job. She’s just going to have to grin and bear it.
As Beth and Jack are forced to spend time together, Beth begins to unravel the mystery of Jack’s disappearance. But are they both carrying too much baggage to try again - or could they finally be in the right place at the right time? - Taken from the back cover.
Now, on to what I think, I think that it's waaaaaaay better that Lost For Words from the same publishing company. The heroine, Beth, has her good points and the hero, Jack, whom I tootally adore is smexy and handsome. Plus, he doesn't smoke. Though I must say, the synopsis at the back cover of the book was quite misleading. It made me think that most of the novel would be about unravelling the mystery of why Jack left Beth, which actually is the main reason of why I bought the book. But, anyways, I didn't regret it. It was quite a fun read, but do be careful for those under 18 (yes...me too) that there is a 'censored' part of a sex scene, which the author only told the beginning of.
I know...quite a short paragraph for my thoughts about it, yes? All of a sudden I forgot what to comment about it, so it'll have to stop there. >.<. Last thing is...I think it would be slightly worth it to get Wish You Were Here just to read about smexy boss-character, Jack. XD
