The Flute which, they say, is Magic
It's official: I am cast in my first real operatic role. I am a little stressed about it, what with the recital coming up in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, but excited, too. I am playing Second Lady in "Die Zauberflote" with Opera of the Foothills, the same group with which I played the Fairy Godmother in "The Cinderella Stories." So, obviously it isn't my big break or anything...but it is a step...an actual recognizable role to put on my resume. I think this will help me feel a bit more confident in going into school in the fall. I am sure there will be people there with more stage experience...at least this puts another notch in my belt.
And I really can't forget that I am the oratorio queen. I rock that shit.
