We'll have to find you housing. Both of us, really; I'm staying with a very nice group of people in a lovely old opera house. I'm sure Little Shin wouldn't mind you joining us for the night, but I've been meaning to get on with finding an apartment, anyway. I suppose you're the impetus to do so. Rent's cheaper when you share.

True to his word, Shin turned the corner a moment later. It wasn't hard to pick his best friend out of the crowd. He couldn't help smiling as charged the other man, engulfing him in a hug.

Shuu was puzzled about what Shin meant by gibberish. Arago, Shikaisen, Mukara and Suzunagi, not to mention any and all their cronies weren't exactly easy to forget. Shuu didn't exactly like to admit he was leaning toward being scared. He had a weird feeling in the pit of stomach, like he had swallowed a rock. Actually, it was exactly like that time he'd swallowed a rock...

His train of thought was quickly derailed when Shin practically pounced. Laughing as he was tackled, Shuu lifted Shin clean off his feet in an embrace that could easily redefine the bear-hug.

"Hey you! Miss me?"

It had always been this way between them. No matter how serious the situation was, Shin was able to forget for a little while when he was having the air squeezed out of him by his best friend.

"Are you kidding? There's actually food in my fridge for the first time in a year and a half. I guess I can kiss that feeling goodbye."
