To Love is to be Patient

The word love contains now the derivatives of chocolate, flowers, and hearts, and cupids and arrows. Though, for me, love means something quite different. Love is when you want nothing more but to awake with that "special someone" every morning, and to fall into sleep with him/her every night. Love is when you can recall every shape their body ( Read more... )

"Love is when you want nothing more but to awake with that "special someone" every morning, and to fall into sleep with him/her every night....It's when you think of nothing but being with them"

u hit it on the head dead on. its love when u want to spend the rest of your life with that special someone.

however, i think its unhealthy to have these feelings for somebody when that someone doesnt feel the same. if u love somebody, and they dont love u back, its best to give it up.

i kno that im the worst person to talk, because i can never get over anyone i fall for. but from my personal experience, the feeling that makes u feel so happy, is a tough sensation to have when its a clear fact that the feeling isnt mutual.

i hope u find ur knight in shining armor. im still looking for my fair maiden...

As I opened your reply this morning my "knight in shining armor" of whom contains no love for me at all stood at my backside. He slept aside me in a bed of comfort and warmth last night, and the weekend prior to this. Love and intimacy was exchanged between the two of us - but still I fair it hard that things are not as they seem. Life is a complex reality - and one of which I often struggle with, as many out there do. Love is even more of this.
If only I were capable of reading others minds...then maybe I could have what I wanted - but then, couldn't we all?

You're correct in that "there are a lot of wierd things going on up there." And this I have discovered even more so last night. I was told by my "knight in shining armor" that I am to back away from him and cease the translation of words entirely between the two of us. Told to me over a computer, I shaked in a confused depression. My love has become an obsession as unfortunate as it is to say. But yet, I now lose not just my love, but my best friend. Life at times becomes too difficult to live.
Take remembrance, as I often do, to the quote,
"Behind a curtain of shower and rain lays a rainbow."

ok, you of all people know most of what i've been through with love. granted, i've never completely lost the love of my life, i have felt great pain from being told that we should be only friends countless times. i don't have great words of advice similar to all those you have given me over the years, but i can share a quote that i've kept in mind for many years:
"But there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, always keep Rosemary outside you garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love when ever you can."

hope you can find your 'knight' and be as happy as i am...

Words of good wisdom come over time, from experience. Words of bad wisdom simply come from ignorance. Remember, that though you have lived so few years, as I have too, the experience is much a memory ( ... )
