Maybe you all have been wondering where I've been for the past few weeks.
This is an explanation.
Thessaly is my second character in World of Warcraft to reach the level cap, the first being Sylph, a night elf hunter, who was on a shared account with one of my roommates and is no longer played anymore.
Here is Thessaly at her inception.
The first ten to fifteen levels of Thessaly's life were full of thankless chores. "Go get me that book!" "Go clean out the cellar!" "Go kill hundreds of spiders for a sword you'll use for five minutes!" This captures the monolith event of some actual gratification for her efforts... from Effsee, the kitty.
Bolstered by Effsee's kind words, Thessaly ventures into the deep foreboding Ashenvale forests. The gnome further ahead on the road is also played by one of my roommates. Please note: The gnome is a tiny female mage with pink hair. Her name is Loli. Sob.
Early on in her adventuring career, Thessaly learns to use her most powerful weapon of all: lol boobiez.
Flying above the Valley of Heroes in Stormwind, Human capital of Azeroth.
More running through Ashenvale forest. I don't think you realize just how much running it takes to get anywhere at low levels.
By the time she hit level 30, Thessaly had thighs of steel and corns the size of jupiter.
Inside the Scarlet Monestary, home of fanatical religious zealots. As this screenshot appears relatively calm, I can only assume this is after she has massacred all of its inhabitants.
Waterfalls inside of Maraudon. Maraudon is weird. I'm not exactly sure what the point of it was.
Thessaly meets a dwarf priest with an awesome name.
In Feralas. As you'll notice, as Thess climbs in levels and new armor becomes available to her, she actually wears less and less and less. That is a metal thong.
PWNED!!!!
No one can resist the seductive powers of a loli. No one.
Inside the Temple of Atal'Hakkar, tittering like a schoolgirl.
Yes, that is a metal bikini to compliment the metal thong. Beating up blood elves in Azshara.
Scenery in the Burning Steppes at mid-morning. That statue is roughly thirty to forty feet tall.
In Winterspring, Thessaly is beat upon by a female ghost, presumably for looking more like a whore than she did.
The new queen of Blackrock Depths, complete with gnomish (wo)manservant.
This is a testament to the art direction in this game. I HATE Silithus. It is a nasty, barren desert and is full of gross bugs, and still manages to have a decent-looking screenshot or two.
Leaving Silithus behind, Thessaly returns to winterspring to beat up bigfoot.
This graveyard in the Western Plaguelands is usually infested with ghouls. As Thessaly passed by, they were noticably absent.
Moonkin are ADORABLE. You have no idea how much I love these things.
The Shrine of Aesinnia, Ashenvale Forest. I take a lot of scenery shots.
Like this one. This was actually very difficult to get a decent screenshot of: It's a large stone bridge in Winterspring that spans a thousand-foot gorge filled with ancient elven ruins.
At level 58, Thessaly says goodbye to her steel swimwear and actually gains the ability to wear good armor.
Deadwind Pass is an unfinished, barren zone slated to be home to Kharazan tower, an epic dungeon in the Burning Crusade expansion. Thessaly scales the outside of Kharazan tower and looks down on the demolished village below.
It's a really big tower.
SKELETONS IN THE WATER FROM THE MAKERS OF SNAKES ON A PLANE
"i've had it with these damn skeletons!"
starring samuel l.
Thessaly spends a lot of time in Deadwind, despite it being basically devoid of all human life. Here's another shot of Kharazan.
She kills ogres there.
Lots of ogres.
Researchers are hard at work to tap the inner workings of the ever-spinning Hypertech Buckler for a better tomorrow... Today!
Flying over Feralas on Hippogryph, after which she meets her party in the Dire Maul...
...to battle against... water. At this point I started being able to play with old friends from my days of playing Sylph. I was pretty happy. :D
A screenshot of Thess's layout and of a SEKRIT ADMIRER LOL
Later, Thess is invited to Zul'Gurub, where half the raid explores..... A STAIRWAY TO NOWHERE!!!!
Thessaly discovers the gateway to Ahn'Qiraj in Silithus.
Then she proceeds to bust some face.
Have I stressed how much I hate Silithus? Those are all yucky little bugs swarming around, and those hives are constantly pulsing and oozing out liquid. Obviously, Thess is trying to stick close to the floor.
The Moonglade. Trees imported from Jurai.
One of the neat things about Deadwind Pass is that because it's unfinshed, there are a lot of secret little places ready to be discovered at the drop of the hat. I was showing a friend around one of the unfinished outdoor dungeons there - a crypt - and we both fell down a tiny hole called "The Well of the Forgotten." This was the result.
The Room of Drowned Sinners, in the same crypt. They should have just called this room "Pwnt."
This was the orc that Thessaly killed to successfuly level to 60.
See?
Final (haha) Result!
Let's take a moment to remember the valiant sacrifice of the orc that made Thessaly's final level possible.
R.I.P., Blackrock Slayer. You will be missed.
