(no subject)
So it's been a while since I made a proper update. Been keeping busy, writing lesson plans, teaching, dealing with kids. not working though, not right now. they didn't have any hours available for me at monart and I haven't found another job yet. I've considered applying for a tutoring job, but i haven't found one yet that really works for me (most of them provide no protection for the employees and that just sounds like trouble waiting to happen) so I've been looking on craigslist every couple of days to see if a little gem might come along that would work well with my teaching schedule (and all the accompanying homework/prep). The subbing thing hasn't gone through yet so...
I'm also thinking of posting some pics of the doll stuff I've been making to deviantart to see if I can get some commissions. I've been trying to re-join DoA as well, but there seem to be some issues there, I sent the mods a message and got a reply from one saying she'd talk to the others but I haven't heard back since (that was a few weeks ago), so I may try and join resinality in the meantime. But after the whole lynn dolly drama I'd really like to get involved in the comms again, plus I have some questions for them about improving my dolls, and I still really want a lydia and she's no longer on the market so I'd like to see if someone on there would be interested in selling one, or at least her head. I'd really like to get a 60 cm female and I haven't found another of that size that I'm really in love with. I did find this girl http://www.dollmore.net/shop/step1.php?number=4499 the other day, and I really really like her face and her body (from what I can see of it, she seems very poseable) but she's a lot taller than I wanted. I dunno, I may just get a really pretty boy's head and put it on a female body (another reason to join the forums, they could probably tell me if this would work or not). there is also this gorgeous 43 cm girl I really want to get http://www.iplehouse.net/shop/step1.php?number=1515 she's totally adorable and I really need some girls to go with my boys (plus I want to try my hand at loli dresses for dolls, they'd look so much cuter in them than I do, and my boys just don't quite work as models for the dresses...).
