Bemani!! <3
So after seeing a post about a certain Empress machine in Ohio, I decided that I wanted to go play it... like right now ^^;;; so I talked with Sarah and thought Tuesday was the best day for us to go. Arnell saw my post on Facebook and a trip to BGSU was in progress. We went today and it was just so amazing. It's been a long time since we've traveled to play Bemani games. But I knew I wanted to play Empress ever since I've seen pictures of it. I never actually thought I would get to play it on an arcade machine. Having Pop'n Music Fever there made it that much sweeter too ^^ especially since I didn't get to play Pop'n at all at Anime Central... not sure if that one was Fever or not but anyway... I finally got to play on a machine and P-chan was happie!! *^_^*
When playing on the IIDX machine at first, I was like on Standard and was thinking "my gawd... did I put it on 7-Key somehow? but then asked Arnell and re-confirmed that it wasn't 7-Key... I just suck at it XD!!!! But serious kudos to that game for having music from like all the previous games. Had a blast playing stuff from like 8th Style since I don't actually own it and haven't played that one since the LANlords days.
Before we went, I was showing Sarah some Pop'n and IIDX videos online so she knew what we were going up for. Played a few games of battle mode with her on Pop'n and had her friends play too.
It must've been a bit odd for them to see us getting into all these games ^^;;; but Karin was pretty cool and she does play DDR a little. Both Arnell and I left with still a whole roll of quarters =p
