Shinkenger, Decade, and Dragon Knight
So Decade has been like a little rollercoaster ride for me. Even though there's only 4 subbed episodes released, it's like yeah this is like a rider orgasm but then there's some episodes which were like bleh. Maybe my standards are way too high. I hate that laughing thing that gets put on Tsukasa. I'm really hoping it will get better since Tsukasa is getting more into his role and has started visiting the different worlds of the riders.
Shinkenger... It was kinda amusing to have a chat with people on facebook about Shinkenger and toku when all I wrote was "P-chan loves Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" XD I downloaded Order of Zeronos' subbed episode of this and heck even their typesetting can't kill this for me. It's really darn good. Well, anything is better than Engine Sentai Go-Onger _o_ America's next series is Power Rangers RPM which will use footage from Go-onger *gawd...* >_< Right now they're still airing Power Rangers Jungle Fury. I forced myself through the 1st episode on the 2nd try _o_ I used to LOVE Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (and still do. I watched some episodes just yesterday) but Power Rangers have gone to shit. Anyway, Shinkenger was really different from Go-onger and it really did draw me in like no other Super Sentai. I usually don't like first episodes but I liked this one. I think I'm in love with their swords XD I'm waiting to download tvnihon's version of Shinkenger since like I said, I'm not a fan of OZ's typesetting. Yes, I have room to say, I'm a j-drama fansubber and there's no way I would be bold enough to use those kinds of fonts and colors >_<
Anyway, for those of you in America and like toku/superhero shows, I highly recommend Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. It is showing on the CW4Kids on Saturdays at 11 or 11:30am depending on where ever you may be living. This adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki is amazing. The producers are real fans of toku and so they have been really trying to stay true to the fandom and bring this good stuff to America. So far 8 episodes have aired and it is getting better and better. At first I was thinking "oh great... maybe we'll see something different but the acting is gonna suck." Well they have seriously proved me wrong. I look forward to this every week just like how I loved waiting for Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Please give this a shot. Maybe you'll like it. So the first episode was kinda cheesy but thankfully it was a whole lot better ^^ You can catch it streaming here. Believe me, I wouldn't recommend something I don't think people would enjoy. This is NOT Super Sentai or Power Rangers. It's from the Kamen Rider franchise and I think people would actually enjoy Kamen Rider over Super Sentai anyway. The outfits are way more elaborate - take for example Wing Knight... I LOVE that outfit. You can actually see Wing Knight in the first episode, first 2 minutes of it. I've been hyping this show ever since it was announced. I really hope that people will support this show and the staff for this is really good stuff produced by real fans of the genre and not some big kiddy company like Disney.
