I've been trying to keep my mouth shut on the topic for quite a long time now, and ya know I really don't wish post on some forum and debate this topic so here I am on my blog. There's a topic on HJU about it but I really don't care too much for it. There's only one person on there anyway who has made any sense at all. The topic really pisses me

I agree that people shouldn't be judged on the fact they are "pretty boys" or in tenimyu. I know I've said some stuff about them, but I don't think I fall quite into the category you're talking about. Just so happens, I don't like a bit of the Tenimyu actors, & I don't think certain ones do good jobs in toku roles. There is a different between playing a hero in a super hero show & starring in a JDrama. Some people act better in a Jdrama than they can as playing a hero.. it all depends on the part in SOME situations.
So I believe I can say that certain people can do a great job in a JDrama, but suck as being a tokusatsu hero, but same applies the other way, some hero characters may not do as good of job in the Jdramas, but that isn't the case usually.
I don't care if they are "pretty boys" cause I'm not attracted to guys so yeah. >_> lol
There are some JE members that I would HATE to see in Tokusatsu because I doubt their ability to portray a hero. For example Koyama...that'd be hard to picture, but if he sucked, even if he is in NEWS I'd be like "Boooooooo." Then there are some that seem like they can act in anything & do a good job at any role. Not all of them are as talented as the others.
Konishi Ryusei was a tenimyu & he did an AWESOME job in Garo as a super hero, but the Wataru guy doesn't. Ryoutaro was okay because his role just fit Taker Sato's acting perfect. The Wataru role & Koji Seto just don't click. The Decade guy is a "pretty boy from tenimyu too" & yeah based on looks, seems like it will be another Wataru, but this can't be judged until we see him act, but he may have the potential. I suppose everyone was just disappointed with the last two riders so much (though I loved Ryoutaro & disliked Wataru) that they just think it's going to be a trend. Then there are some that just say "nope.. looks like a girl."
Hard to picture Aiba as a blue ranger, but then again if he can act it, he may be my favorite ranger this coming season. XD
I agree people can't help how they look & it's their acting that counts, but some people can't act in a super hero role as well as others.
