Catch Up
I haven't blogged in days... I've been to drained and tired from work. Well let me try to catch up as best as I can.
I did get to begin and finish LIFE and 14 sai no haha. Both dramas are excellent. My favorite genre for jdramas is human dramas so yeah, Haikei Chichiue-sama and Bara no nai Hanaya was just totally up my alley. Gem recommended Strawberry on the Shortcake so I'll get to watching that sometime soon.
I also like jidaigeki... maybe that's totally off in left field somewhere XD but I'm totally interested and curious about dramas and specials surrounding the Edo/Tokugawa period. The next taiga drama that will be released by NHK is called Tenchijin and I'm totally excited to see this. The cast list (young and older actors) is amazing. I still haven't gotten a chance to check out Atsu-hime yet which also takes place around the time of the Meiji Restoration. I can totally thank Byakkotai for getting me into this kinda stuff because I had to do so much research on many of the wars and generals for that special.
Hmm what else... I watched Kiva 33 is Jonnie... watched episode 3 of Bu Liang Xiao Hua (starring Rainie Yang), watched two more episodes of Gokusen 3. Oh, oh! I don't even know how long is has been or if I even posted about it but They Kiss Again (sequel to It Started With A Kiss/Itazura na Kiss) is finally finished T_T Unfortunately the mangaka had an accidental death and the story will never be finished. The tw-drama stops where the manga has stopped.
Oh!! Shinsen Subs and Shintei-subs released ep. 1 and 2 of the PoT: National Championship Finals. Episode 1 was so darn epic!! XD Tezuka vs. Sanada. I absolutely hated the outcome though and why the mangaka made it so... it wasn't fair at all... "During an interview with Konomi in the fourth character book (40.5), he reveals that, in order for him to show just how strong ***** is, he had to make either **** or ***lose during the National final match against **** . In the end, he decided that since **** had previously lost, **** would be the one to lose in his match against ****." -_- wtf... if that character is strongest, you're just gonna make him lose just because he hasn't had much of a losing streak?! *kicks* episode 2 was okay... nothing as great as ep. 1 though. Look forward to the next eps.
In other random news XD Went to Gameworks with Arnell last night. It was a lot of fun. So nice to see some new games around that we actually have some interest in. I absolutely suck at drumming games and it'll always be that way XD would've been nice to maybe have a new Guitar Freaks or something so that I can at least play. Ah well. I've always sucked at Drummania so I didn't bother to play that. I spent most of my time on Taiko no Tatsujin (and yes, I suck at that too but who can resist cute chibi drums and macaroni-like characters that are suppose to be drum sticks?! XD!!!!) That game totally made my night since I spotted both the Jyuuken Sentai Gekiranger theme song and Climax Jump by AAA (theme song to Kamen Rider Den-O). Played that until my fingers started to hurt a bit. Played a round of DDR with my wedges on... BAD idea _o_ almost killed myself there. Played two games of Guitar Freaks. I can't even pass Happy Man anymore. What the heck happened -_- I know I suck but this really sucks!
As for work... I'm totally stressed out. Kevin really blew up the office yesterday and I had to write a pretty long email to the store manager and the corporate specialist explaining to them why my numbers are so crazy >_< Hopefully this is a learning experience for him... but yeah it hasn't been too much fun. I totally can't wait till Youmacon because it is such a much needed vacation. I pre-regged for both Ohayocon and ACen yesterday too so that's $30 each instead of like $45 each. Saved some money there ^_^
