I got a new job. I'll be a cashier/server/dishwasher/busser at Steamer's Seafood Cafe. A local dine found down at Titlow Park. The pay is $8.50 and I already have more hours than Subway gave me initially. And they actually offer benefits!

The reason for the job-change is two-fold:

• The hours provided by Subway (and anyh franchise business) BLOW.   I cannot survive off 15 hours a week at min-wage.
• I need a job with better pay for when I start my student teaching.  $7.93/hr at 16+ hours (weekends) VS $8.50/hr at 16+ hours. You do the math.

The sweet fact is they are willing to work around school.  I have two more shifts with Subway but then its 'Adios Sammiches!, Hola Seafood!"
