weirdness...
here's a strange occurrence:
i decided to donate blood today, because i had extra time after picking up my cap and gown, so i strolled on over to penfold and do the usual paperwork. i went in for the mini-physical and, of course, my iron was low (as always), so the guy had to spin it (side note: he was from UC, right down the road from me. fun coincidence). it came back okay, but the problem came when he checked my pulse: it was only 42, so they had to refuse me.
i mean, wtf? normally, i average at around 60 - 65. i haven't had my pulse taken in a while, but that's a hell of a drop. i don't feel badly at all, so what the hell is with the drop? he did ask me if i was an athlete, but 42?! that just doesn't seem right, even if i was running marathons! i do not get it. i'm calling my mom to see what she thinks, even though i ask her a billion health questions. at least, my wonky rib is feeling better today.
